What colour are your sofas?

My sitting room needs a complete makeover. I think my starting point needs to be a new sofa but I can't decide on a colour.

The one I have is sort of bluey grey so I would like a change. I'm strangely tempted by orange or pink!

Any photos would be welcome :)

We have grey but I wanted an emerald green velvet sofa but alas, I cannot trust the little sticky fingers attached to DS not to ruin it!

I love the dark green ones at the min.

Avoid grey, very soulless and every house has one.

Ours are all cream fabric.

I have one sort of burned orange and one rusty-coloured thing. I cover them both with big throws, though, and I had to lift up the throws to remind myself of the colour :)

Unless you don't like throws I'd say go for comfort rather than colour, as you can always cover them up as you like.

Mines grey . I get bored quickly so have brightly coloured cushions which I can change easily, whereas I couldn’t afford to keep changing the sofas.

I'll take a photo of our pink sofas tomorrow in daylight and post it here. You'll be in for a treat.

Rather accidentally, mine is sort of RAF blue. I couldn't be bothered returning it. I have a couple of throws on it to buck it up a bit. I would rather like a burnt orange one.

Dark brown leather.

We used to have a cream one - until a neighbour tripped one Christmas and threw her full mug of mulled wine all over it. It looked like there had been a murder. .

Two colours, IKEA ones so they're changeable covers: grey in winter and cream in summer!

Claret, velvet, squishy.

I am also looking a redo my lounge, and like you the decorating is going to revolve around new sofas. I really like a lighter coloured one, it's got a very fine grain in it so not too stark. But I have a log burner so I'm thinking it's not a wise choice.

I considered leather but none have wowed me.

There is a lot of grey around, but it looks a bit depressing. So I think I may go for a lighter brown, camel type color.

I can't go too light - dc and pets will make their mark too easily. I do like the sound of dark green.

Drawing room: 1 terracotta sofa, one cream sofa, two goldish chairs - brought together with pale green and gold cushions.

Sitting room - beige sofa and chair with green and gold cushions.

Garden room - grey sofa and two grey and gold/mustard armchairs.

Very little grey here.

My living room is white walls and grey sofa, grey carpet...so original i know ha.
I would love a dusky pink sofa but my dh would not approve
Maybe experiment with different coloured throws before committing?

Grass green under the many, many manimals. I'm hankering after a change though. I think orange next

@BadEyeBri you can't get rid of your sofa, your lovely dogs look so comfortable on it!

Mine are pink velvet. I have a very dark green paint on the walls, almost black really. Not everyone's style but I love it

Ours are brown and grey. The curtains and rug are brown. The carpet is cream (hence the rug in a house with 2 dc!) and the walls are cream with a green pattern running through. It's a small, dark room but feels cosy rather than claustrophobic.

Sage green in the sitting room, light brown in the kitchen.
