Brilliant news. My parents are having theirs today too. I had mine 2 weeks ago.
It’s a great feeling. I mean it makes
You feel a bit rubbish for a day but it’s a positive thing.

GeorgieTheGorgeousGoat · 22/01/2021 07:12

Yay! Honestly my eyes prickly every time I hear about someone getting vaccinated, it’s like a giant list in my head and another tick tick tick of problem getting done. Enjoy! Grin

ditavonteesed · 22/01/2021 07:14

Great news! I had mine last night, no side effects yet.

KatherineJaneway · 22/01/2021 07:15

Good for you šŸ‘

TheRuleofStix · 22/01/2021 07:16

Fantastic Smile!

ChasingRainbows19 · 22/01/2021 07:19

I had mine a week ago today. No major side effects, maybe a headache and some aches/cramps. But by 24 hours later all was ok.

EmmaGrundyForPM · 22/01/2021 07:21

Great news!

I had mine on Monday. Just a heads up - from Tuesday lunchtime for about 24 hours I felt absolutely exhausted, and slightly spaced out. Some of my colleagues had a similar experience. But it was very minor and in no way off putting, I just hadn't expected that.

ioffernothing · 22/01/2021 07:25

Lucky you. Some of us are in jobs where we are at risk and can't get it.

TwirpingBird · 22/01/2021 07:25

Yay!!! How exciting for you. My Mum had hers on Monday (care home worker) and my sis had hers 2 weeks ago (ICU nurse). They felt a bit rubbish 12 hours after with a temp, so take it easy today. What a lovely day today is for you 😊😊

Canigoonroblox · 22/01/2021 07:29

Good for you!!! I had mine last week and had a real mix of emotions, excitement and a bit of relief and a real appreciation of the scale of organisation and effort this is taking. I hope it goes well x

WitchesBritchesPumpkinPants · 22/01/2021 07:30

Fabulous!!!

Hope you feel ok afterwards!

I wish I was getting mine today, but also pleased I don't qualify šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

I'm hoping to get mine late Feb/early March (should be Group 6) I won't do anything different than I am now, but hopefully it'll reduce the worry a bit.

Take your own pen & don't hand around for refreshments!!

Let us know how it goes.

DinosaurDiana · 22/01/2021 07:33

Had mine yesterday 🄳
Yesterday evening and when I woke in the night I felt a bit ā€˜off’, as if I’m coming down with something, but that’s it so far.

Ynwa12345 · 22/01/2021 07:33

That's exciting news. @ioffernothing how do you know what job OP does?

TravellingSpoon · 22/01/2021 07:35

Had mine last week and felt a absolutely fine bar a sore arm

It was run by the University so very efficient.

perfectdoesntexist · 22/01/2021 07:36

I had mine on Wednesday. Really was emotional, despite not being able to see everyone's faces through the masks I just felt this overwhelming feelings seeing elderly men and women supported by their children/caters/family members to get their jabs. I did have a 'moment'

I am grateful to of had mine, want my parents to have theirs even more and would of given mine to them if I could.

I've had some side affects but not awful and not severe by any means. I still feel groggy today but still grateful to of had the vaccine

WhydoesItAlwaysRainMe · 22/01/2021 07:37

Brilliant! I had mine last week and was so emotional.

ny20005 · 22/01/2021 07:40

I had mine on Tuesday. Other than a bit if a sore arm for 2 days, no other symptoms for me. (Sore arm was worse for flu vaccine)

GeorgieTheGorgeousGoat · 22/01/2021 07:41

I wonder if those reporting side effects could say which vaccine they had, or are the side effects the same for both? Not that I care, I’ll take any!

DinosaurDiana · 22/01/2021 07:44
