What has bought you joy today?

This morning I went on a run with my friend as I have taken the day off work (need to have a day off for my sanity so used annual leave)

It was lovely, we're doing a 5km a few times a week and it was a fast one today and I felt strong! I've been buzzing all day.

No I am enjoying a child free house (kids are at school as it's their dads week) and I am watching the great British pottery throw down which is just full of joy!

Two of the babies I look after giving each other a cuddle and giggling together. Made me smile all afternoon, bless them.

Heard that my DD4 (nurse on a Covid ward) is getting her 1st vaccination this week.
Lots of birds came to my new feeders today. They have been up a week with all kinds of goodies inside, but have been mostly ignored until today.
I've had a nice few eBay sales today from stuff that I listed from a box of bric a brac I bought from Facebook.

I found some old photos of the kids on a computer that had been relegated to the loft following a house move. They are so cute and squishy.

Trump not being president anymore and finishing work to pour a glass of wine!

Going to the tip with rubble dug out of the site of my new vegetable patch.

Getting my first covid jab at 8.30am this morning!

my pharmacy calling me to offer delivery of my meds tomorrow as i’m shielding. totally out of the blue, am so impressed with them.

also got a letter from the DWP that, for once, was good news. my PIP award has been extended to August 2023. i had a review last November and was given a year as an interim decision as they were so ridiculously busy. they appear to have caught up and now i don’t have to worry about it for 2 and a half years.

the relief is huge. one less thing on the worry list!

Today joy has been bought to me by a costa on my way to work, it is going to be a long day but the lovely coffee has perked me up

My joy today was the lovely sunshine that accompanied me on my dog walk.
It gave me an opportunity to take some photos.
Slight no joy was that I forgot to press start on my Strava app :(

I'm washing my bed sheets. They are going to smell so good tonight

My joy came today when my ds (5) climbed into bed beside me this morning and told me he loved me "so so so so much".

My joy yesterday was from managing 18k steps and then really enjoying a beautiful dark chocolate in peace

It has finally stopped raining after chucking it down for two days solid. Managed to get a walk out in the sunshine!

I've just watched Soul on Disney plus and I think it might be my new favourite film!
