This morning I went on a run with my friend as I have taken the day off work (need to have a day off for my sanity so used annual leave)

It was lovely, we're doing a 5km a few times a week and it was a fast one today and I felt strong! I've been buzzing all day.

No I am enjoying a child free house (kids are at school as it's their dads week) and I am watching the great British pottery throw down which is just full of joy!

Come and tell me what has bought you joy today

2 wagon wheels n a cuppa tea in front of interesting telly. Easily pleased!

Standrewsschool · 20/01/2021 17:32

Watching the inauguration. The vice-president looked particular joyful.

Also, loved the young poet.

Having a lovely 45min phonecall with my friend today while looking out my kitchen window watching the sparrows, starlings, blue tits and a robin use my feeders.
The wee boy is doing so well with school work this time round and it is a joy to sit with him to complete it

RedTartanLass · 20/01/2021 17:38

Saw some snowdrops poking through the earth on my walk today.

Bought some daffs for £1 happy day!

Malfoof · 20/01/2021 17:41

The whole inauguration, actually.

Raera · 20/01/2021 17:43

DH brought me tulips home from the supermarket, lovely man.

Doihavetogotoworkdotcom1 · 20/01/2021 17:46

My dog’s welcome when I returned from work.

Egghead68 · 20/01/2021 17:47

Inauguration

CaptainMyCaptain · 20/01/2021 17:48

Watching the inauguration. It was like a breath of fresh air.

EternalOptimist7 · 20/01/2021 17:50

Had some lovely customers at work today. One lady thanked me for all we’re doing ( I’m in retail). We’re having wild garlic & Jersey butter chicken kievs for tea yum.

OddsNSodsBitsNBobs · 20/01/2021 17:50

My dad bought me some liquorice allsorts!

theliverpoolone · 20/01/2021 17:51

Like others, the inauguration. I felt quite emotional when VP Harris was walking down the steps.

CarrieMoonbeams · 20/01/2021 17:53

I bathed one of my dogs. She's a rescue, and was too traumatised to be touched anywhere on her body when we got her. Today she trotted happily in to the shower, had a lovely warm soapy wash, blow dry and is now a sparkling clean wee fluffball.

A small bit of happiness compared to others here (and some are just amazing!) but it made DH and me so happy that she trusts us completely.

DowntonCrabby · 20/01/2021 17:53

The new Madam Vice President.
Hearing the young poet laureate lady.
DH making banana bread.

Thecomfortador · 20/01/2021 17:53

Just remembered I have a secret day's leave booked on Monday which has lifted my spirits somewhat.

MaMisled · 20/01/2021 17:54

My husband of 18 years said spending his life with me is exciting.

SimonJT · 20/01/2021 17:56

A few things.

Bye bye to Trump and hello to Biden and Harris.

I received my appointment for my covid vaccine.

My partner got home at 5:30, saw I was stressed and said “Hey MiniSJT lets go to the park” they’re still not home, I’m alone, its glorious!

wonderwhatshappening1978 · 20/01/2021 17:57

Minstrels 😃

bubblebubblebubbletrouble · 20/01/2021 17:58

Dd1 & I had negative Covid tests. Still don't know why she has so little energy & feels poorly but a relief nevertheless.

Mama1980 · 20/01/2021 17:58

The inauguration. 😊 I was surprisingly emotional watching.

bearlyactive · 20/01/2021 18:01

Another one saying the inauguration.

@MaelyssQ

Watching Trump sulkily leave the White House like a giant orange toddler in a rage.
