@Happyoldbat

Kunzel cakes!
I was just coming to say the same!! Loved them.
CottonHeadedNinyMuggins · 17/01/2021 23:34

@NerdyBird

In the early 2000s M&S did a fudgy chocolate brownie which was amazing. The baked potato and butter crisps were good too. I used to love flavoured Toffo, remember having them going round the supermarket sat in the toddler seat. My mum would put the price label on the back of her hand and pay at the end. That'd outrage people today! Also loved Ice Magic, and the frozen mousses.

@CottonHeadedNinyMuggins I got my mum some L'aimant spray on Amazon and they have a perfume too.

Yep, mum (it's her who wears it) has the body spray and the EDT but used her last skin perfume up at the end of last year. It's far superior to the edt and lasted so much longer.

I bloody love the smell of the skin perfume though - smells just like my mum from childhood and instantly brings back the memories.

The EDT is too sharp and alcohol-ish and wears off too quickly and the smell isn't quite 100 percent the same to the skin one.

@Romancer

Ahh! Mississippi Mud Pie yoghurts, wonderful!! and new Berry Fruits and Black Magic chocolates for Christmas afternoon playing with the Escalado. (Which need not be resurrected).
Oh yes Mississippi mud pie corner yogurts!! Amazing
Madlymumming · 17/01/2021 23:38

Also, Lord Toffingham ice creams.

And Grip Fix glue - white tub/blue lid with a lump of wax to stop it drying out I assume. They used it in the library to stick in the date sheets. Can still smell it now.

ODFOx · 17/01/2021 23:38

Flash powder. The liquid ones all leave a residue. Proper Flash was brilliant.

CooperLooper · 17/01/2021 23:41

Ice cream flavour Chewitts
Campino sweets!

trunumber · 17/01/2021 23:43

@Iminaglasscaseofemotion
They sell those moose things at Morrisons now- raspberry ripple in the frozen section

lockedownloretta · 17/01/2021 23:44

Rimmel bedouin gold lipstick

VVKills27 · 17/01/2021 23:48

Frozen potato ‘Ketchips’ - chips with tomato ketchup in the centre. As a 10 year old I though they were incredible when they must have been revolting! I’d love to prove to my kids they did exist in the depths of 1990ish

SlopesOff · 17/01/2021 23:49

Cadburys chocolate without palm oil, or Rowntrees or any other chocolate without palm oil.

Pan Yan pickle

Lyons cup cakes

Tins of bean/vegetarian casserole that used to be sold in Holland & Barrett, I don't remember the make, it was quite along time ago.

Quorn fake beef slices, they were the only Quorn slices I found edible.

Vegetarian products that were made pre the vegan fad which has ruined most of them and pushed the prices up to ridiculous levels.

Bread that wasn't made with palm oil and chick pea flour.

Iminaglasscaseofemotion · 17/01/2021 23:51

@trunumber, I'll head to morrisons ASAP! I don't think she ever shoppedbtherenwhem we were kods though.

TheBlahWitchProject · 17/01/2021 23:52

Coconut boost
Apple pop tarts
McDonalds pizzas
😍

frustrationcentral · 17/01/2021 23:56

@stillusingxmaszoflora

'Custard' yogurts from Asda with fruit compote at the bottom. 'Cartoons' biscuits with chocolate filling, sold next to iced gems. Puds! Also, the cafe I used to work at sold almond and cherry croquants which I have never seen again! Also four cheese crowns, both by delice de France.
Aldi do a similar custard style yogurt, they're gorgeous! I dread to think how bad they are for you (I don't want to look 😬!)
jennytheonionslayer · 17/01/2021 23:56

Football Crazies, round balls that tasted like frazzles

SlopesOff · 17/01/2021 23:57

Non-food items:

Dop shampoo (last seen in the 70's),
Body shop grapefruit shampoo,
Body Shop spray on Wheat something or other conditioner, it was blue,
Vaseline Intensive care lotion before it contained added globules of high octane grease type stuff that turns the skin into an oil slick.

Skin and hair products that didn't make my eyes burn and skin itch due to being full of limonene, linalool and geraniol which are known to be irritants but are in most things these days.

JaneJeffer · 18/01/2021 00:02

Proper chocolate without palm oil.
Knorr spring vegetable soup.
Ponds cocoa butter.

GarytheRedNosedUnicorn · 18/01/2021 00:02

Sweet ‘pot noodle style ‘ desserts. You added boiling water to a dried fruit mixture, then sprinkled a crumble topping over it and the heat from the fruit mix made the topping all gooey.

GarytheRedNosedUnicorn · 18/01/2021 00:03

Aqua Manda lemon flavour perfume. Much nicer than the orange.

Tootyfilou · 18/01/2021 00:05

Birds Eye Lovely desserts,

Listener2021 · 18/01/2021 00:06

Pears soap, pre new formula full of chemicals.

orangenasturtium · 18/01/2021 00:17

@SlopesOff Do you mean DOP, the French toiletries brand? You can buy it on Amazon or online from specialist French supermarkets in the UK. It's more expensive than buying it in France obviously, about £5.

They also make Haribo scented shower gel Grin

SenorFrog · 18/01/2021 00:31

Bachelors pasta sauce mushroom & wine. Loved this so much, I scowl as I walk past this section now.

Crosse & Blackwell chicken & sweet corn chowder.

United biscuits, it's a travesty these were discontinued.

JimmyTheWeed · 18/01/2021 00:40

On the subject of things that have disappeared,my late DM used to swear that M and S did a smoked haddock sandwich for about a year,although never saw it myself. DM was most annoyed when they vanished! Does anyone out there ever recall seeing these,must have been mid 90s.

DatingDickheads · 18/01/2021 00:47

Same! I was so happy when I found these for my DD who has a nut allergy. I had totally forgotten about them.

TheScurrilousFunge · 18/01/2021 00:50

The Müller sponge puddings in a little pot with custard!
Dairy Milk before it was ruined Sad
Yoghurt with fruit in it! Used to be everywhere and now seems hard to come by - like Ski, for example, with bits in. Mmm.
Spira.
Quorn bacon lardons.
Proper Lucozade.
Proper Ribena.
Astros (little Cadbury chocolate and biscuit balls, not unlike the M&Ms in a blue bag).
