I’m in pjs, during the week I may put on a sports bra and joggers instead, but that’s about it. I’m washing my hair twice a week and I am wearing make up once a month maybe?

I feel like pants though! I was probably considered high maintenance before - I would fake tan, had eyelash extensions, own a dyson airwrap type person.

But I’m just feeling like, ‘meh, what’s the point?’ I only live with Ds so no partner to inflict this on. But what are the rest of you doing?! Do I need to make more effort?!

I wear relaxed trousers or gym kit. I have given.up blow drying my hair and pin it up. No makeup.

Angel2702 · 17/01/2021 09:59

I always get dressed, purely because the rare occasions I don’t I end up with a stream of postmen, utilities people etc knocking on the door. I don’t wear make up or straighten my hair though.

Quick shower in the morning, mainly to wake me up. I have a lovely citrus l'occitane soap.

Clothes are leggings or trackie bottoms with a smarter top for teams calls. Hair tidied and tied back. Makeup is blusher and lip gloss. Haven't had my brows and lashes done since October, just tidying up my brows myself every now and again. I have dark brows and lashes which helps.

I have a longer shower that includes hair washing 3 times a week, after I've been for a run.

I can't be bothered with tights, dresses and shoes though. I just wear socks to keep my feet warm.

No make up, hair it depends on day of the week, dressed comfy/slouchy. We are all WFH, our meetings tend to show us all make up free, hair scraped back, hoodies/jumpers/fleecy cosy tops. Luckily, my work doesn't care.

AllTheChocolateNow · 17/01/2021 11:00

I shower/bathe, wash hair, keep myself clean and look after my skin, always put on clean clothes etc - but those clothes are often loungewear since I work from home now.
I rarely wear make up unless I've got a face to face Zoom for work, and my skin is thanking me for it.

I’m embracing being a bit more low maintenance and natural. Sure I’ll go back to make up and the rest of my armour when we return to normality.

Milomonster · 17/01/2021 11:17

Shower every day and put cream on my face. Get back into pjs but will push the boat out once in a while and wear jogging bottoms. Make-up once a month and dress up all glam, like yesterday when I went for my iron infusion - I put on earrings and got out my Jospeph shearling coat. Got home and was surprised how nice my skin looked Grin and that cheered me up somewhat.
I will put a jumper on top of my pj top for zoom calls.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 17/01/2021 11:22

I work out of the home so I have to get dressed in the week. I put make up on and do my hair too. At the weekends I shower and get dressed but don't bother with make up or hair.

ComDummings · 17/01/2021 11:23

Shower, sometimes dressed sometimes into clean PJs. I feel so slobby.

Ivalueloyaltyaboveallelse · 17/01/2021 11:29

I hear you op, currently on leave, I’m dressed for comfort but dressed everyday, no make up on and hair left in its natural wild form as I can’t be asked to straighten it. I feel like rubbish.

Starheart · 17/01/2021 11:54

I've been trying to see it not as grooming but more self care . Just lighting a candle when in shower or digging out an old sample of something I haven't used can be good for just seeing it as more of a treat .

Shehasadiamondinthesky · 17/01/2021 11:57

I wasn't getting dressed everyday but my neighbours keep coming over for a very socially distanced chat at the end of my pathway which is at least three meters away.
They are all older than me and I don't want to think I am a colossal slob even though that is exactly what I am so I get dressed every morning.

PammieDooveOrangeJoof · 17/01/2021 12:00

I have the same routine I’ve always had. I do it for me not other people and it makes me feel better.
Bath or shower daily, hair wash every other day. Make up and perfume every day.
Just not getting ‘dressed up’ for work so joggers and hoodies.

BorisandHarriet · 17/01/2021 12:02

I get dressed every day. I go out to work in the week so have to but always get showered and dressed at weekends too. I think for me it would be a slippery slope if I didn’t!

Heatherjayne1972 · 17/01/2021 12:11

Well yes my boss prefers me to come to work In my uniform

However during the first lockdown I didn’t wear any makeup at all. My skin looked awesome.

And I got dressed every day

JovialNickname · 17/01/2021 12:15

I make sure I get dressed every day, as I get depressed if I don't "properly get up". My day clothes are only one step up from PJs but it's important to me to get changed! I wear tinted moisturiser and lip balm and try to make my hair look half decent if not perfect. I only shower every other day now though, which I know makes me a skank, but how clean do you have to be to sit in the house all day?

woodhill · 17/01/2021 12:15

Showered and dressed but not bothering with make up. Wearing a skirt today for a change

Tanaria · 17/01/2021 12:18

Dressed by 8.15am, with work starting remotely at 8.20.
I still do all of my usual routines, except for wearing a little less make-up these days, which is more down to having seen how much better my skin is without any foundation. Plus, DP actually prefers me without make-up anyway, so it's a win-win on that front.
Being at home does mean wearing heels far less frequently than I used to, but I still wear them when I go out.

woodhill · 17/01/2021 12:55

I don't like wearing pyjamas unless I am going to bed or later in the evening

peak2021 · 17/01/2021 13:16

Shower when I get up, dressed as I would at weekends. Camera is off as I don't want work colleagues or their family to see my house. Or my longer than usual hair!

Tamalama · 17/01/2021 14:03

I was leading up to Christmas but since falling pregnant (I'm 8 weeks pregnant with twins and I have a 4 year old DD) it's all gone out the window. I aim to shower every day, but definitely can't be arsed to wear make up and I only wash my hair when I desperately need to. DH and I both work from home and I don't have to do any calls via video so I can get away with looking wreaked from morning sickness and generally slobbing about. I think lockdown this time around has just made everyone feel a bit meh 😕

SexyGiraffe · 17/01/2021 20:23

I do a ton of video calls every day so I do wear just a bit of make up and sometimes do my hair! I wear a half decent top and earrings and then..... yoga pants and slippers!
