I would say
Talking on public transport , wish they would be quiet.

@Wearywithteens

“Emmmmm no!

There's concrete scientific evidence that babies who are breastfed have lower rates of ear infections, gastro infections, respiratory infections etc etc. It's a fact.”

Breastfed kids still get sick! Lower rates just means lower rates.

There is nothing factual about saying breastfed kids don’t get ill ever, at all - while formula fed babies’ illnesses can all be attributed solely to the way they are fed.

It’s 100% true that people who claim to have the FACTS about this to put non-bf mothers down are malicious arseholes.

Yes, we're in agreement! lower rates = lower rates, exactly that. This means lower rates in average on a population level, not talking about individual cases before anyone pipes up with "I wasn't breastfed and i'm really healthy".

I never said breastfed kids don't ever get sick, of course they do, so please don't misconstrue what I said 🤦🏻‍♀️

Skipsurvey · 16/01/2021 17:53

people, my neighbours mainly, whose every other word is Fuck

justkeepswimming2020 · 16/01/2021 17:54

Genuine question but does or has anyone say they don’t get ill ever, at all?

No, excellent point
woodhill · 16/01/2021 18:11

It gives them a good start

ElizaLaLa · 16/01/2021 18:54

People that say 'on' an evening instead of 'of' an evening.

People that can't spell properly.

People that say the baby needs fed.

People that go out in their pyjamas.

People that let their kids do whatever the fuck they want.

People that don't teach their kids to use a knife and fork properly.

People that don't work with no real reason (disability, children/parents etc to care for) but claim benefits.

People that claim they have anxiety because they get a bit nervous before a big event.

People that apply whataboutery to everything.

People that don't think people should take responsibility for themselves.

People that think putting Iceland's finest in the oven is cooking.

I'm sure there are many, many more. I'm very judgemental.

ivefuckinghadenoughnow · 16/01/2021 19:03

@NobodyPuttsBabyinCorner

Everything

I can usually nail someone's persona and interests by way they present themselves. It makes everything impossible to avoid judging!

But if you want specifics, people who:

Drive an SUV
Own a hot tub
Think they've 'visited' a country despite never leaving an all-inclusive resort
Gin drinkers
Display even the tiniest interest in reality tv
People with zero knowledge of the world, history, science etc
Brexit voters
Conservatives
Posting endless updates on Fb of all the 'must be seen' places they've been
Thinking 'gardening' is paving over the entire garden with slabs/astro turf
Mongrel (sorry 'pedigree') owners of cockapoos, labradoodles etc
Anyone with a Live Laugh Love type motif in their home
Like football

Basically.... feckless, uneducated, closed minded, narcissistic show offs

Yes, uneducated. This being my SUV driving, gin drinking, Conservative voting husband who has a 1st degree in maths, is a qualified actuary who passed all the exams first time. What a stupid comment. Bet you have a ton of friends!
LizFlowers · 16/01/2021 19:39

Visible tattoos; I think they are gross. If they are in places that don't show, they are probably gross too but what you don't see doesn't bother you.

LadyEloise · 16/01/2021 19:44

People who say
"I seen it"
or
"I done it"

WhateverJudy · 16/01/2021 19:45

People who call changing a baby’s nappy ‘changing its bum’. It makes my toes curl.

juliainthedeepwater · 16/01/2021 19:51

Eating meat.
Driving a lot.
Not reading.
Voting Conservative.

Actually I'm not so silent about any of these.. try and avoid silent judging in favour of vocal judging Grin

tigerlily20 · 16/01/2021 20:45

People who comment "it's not the dog it's the owner" on news articles involving dogs mauling someone to death and fail to acknowledge that there are some dangerous dog breeds or that some dogs were inherently bred for aggression and fighting.

tigerlily20 · 16/01/2021 20:47

Actually I just contradicted myself there essentially it is still the fault of the human/owner for the domestication of dogs and breeding such characteristics but people should accept these characteristics may be more prevalent in some breed of dogs than others. That said I still love dogs.

Silvercatowner · 16/01/2021 20:54

Oh I judge so much. I'm old though. I think I'm getting more judgy as I romp through my 60s.

BUT:
People who, when they are drinking water, take a huge gulp and hold it in their mouths for a long time - so their cheeks puff out.
I judge those people.

twittertotter2 · 16/01/2021 20:57

People that judge others. Fgs who thinks they are so perfect to judge others. Confused

Chocolatehasruinedmylife · 16/01/2021 21:00

People who class washing up and hoovering housework, and how knackered they are after having done said housework so are now "chilling with a cuppa"

Iknowwhatudidlastsummer · 16/01/2021 21:04

how else would you class that? It's hardly a fascinating hobby.

nancybotwinbloom · 16/01/2021 21:05

@LH1987

You get back to work.

You will be setting a good example
To your child.

Independence.

Lucy830 · 16/01/2021 21:09

@shrunkenhead

Really, forward facing prams?

I have a very nice pram, as in comfy pram (bugaboo). I have just started facing it forward because I’m worried my 9 month old isn’t seeing enough of the world. He was born during lock down and I just thought it would be nice to properly look around when we go for a walk. Before lock down I faced it towards me and still would if I had to go into shops or outings but for a walk face outwards.

Feel slightly paranoid about doing so now.

That's what I thought. It is housework, boring and exhausting.
Iknowwhatudidlastsummer · 16/01/2021 21:14

Lucy830

Please don't feel paranoid. I had exactly the same kind of prams, they are brilliant, and you change the direction depending on the sun, the time and everything.

Just reading this thread, you will be judged for whichever direction you chose anyway Grin

I mean like they act like they have cleaned the whole house, when in reality, they've just washed up a cup and ran the hoover around.
LizzleTizzle · 16/01/2021 21:38

Continuing to have children with different men who then leave them almost straight away.

Continuing to have children when they are already struggling on benefits and have no support or childcare for the children they already have.

FloconDeNeige · 16/01/2021 22:07

Parents who dump their kids in boarding schools.
Extended breastfeeders.
Those who attempt to justify fox hunting as some kind of countryside management that ‘townies’ can’t possibly understand.
Homeschoolers.
Women who leech off their husbands and do nothing worthwhile or constructive for society.
Swinging dick types.

themaskedsinger · 16/01/2021 22:10

SAHPs who have no reason not to be working
Parents who have 3 kids then complain they can’t spend much time with them individually
People who can’t cook or won’t at least make an effort to learn to cook a few straightforward meals
People who don’t take their kids to interesting places/see interesting things but let them instead watch netflix all weekend

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 16/01/2021 22:23

What parents have 13 weeks annual leave to use every year? Holiday clubs are a necessity for many not a choice.

I might have misunderstood, but I took that to mean when you're actually away ON a family holiday, for a week/fortnight or whatever - not throughout the whole school holidays.
