I'll start (setting the bar pretty low here).....

Going to the dump to get rid of extra rubbish

Usual daily walk with hound

MacDonalds Takeaway (more for teens than me)

Takeaway coffee when on walk with friend (mind you don't get arrested now!)

My kettle actually broke this afternoon, I was giddy with the opportunity to go to Sainsbury’s and spend £12.50 on a new one. It lights up and I’ve been looking at it in wonder.

raspberryfield · 15/01/2021 21:34

Buying the kindle daily deal

Faircastle · 15/01/2021 21:36

When attending church online: muting or fast-forwarding the boring bits.

Dowser · 15/01/2021 21:41

Actually looked forward to my trip to the dentist on Wednesday.
It didn’t seem to hurt or twinge half so much as it normally does
Even the 6 or so needles I had to numb it to drill the old filling out were fine
It’s amazing how a change of scenery gives you a lift
Can’t wait to go back in Less than 2 weeks.

QueenofLouisiana · 15/01/2021 21:56

The deli stall on the market- fancy cheese is not essential, but God it makes life nicer.

(It also sells stuff like mid-shaped Jaffa cakes and short-date freddo frogs- these are completely essential).

Thisisworsethananticpated · 15/01/2021 22:24

I walked (it’s a nice walk) to the M&S garage to get bread and eggs 🥚
It’s sat tomorrow
No work ! No homeschool

@LonnyVonnyWilsonFrickett

Spending a fortune on niace takeaway. I get this box of curry from Opheem in Manchester, there's usually 8 different curries in it so I stack the freezer then all I have to do is reheat a couple when we fancy a takeaway.

Our local Waitrose limits the amount of shoppers to 100 in store at any one time and it is bliss. I previously only shopped there for high days and holidays but it's my main shop now.

Ours limits it to 50 and it's even better 🤪
Bloodybridget · 16/01/2021 03:32

Going for a drive for an hour, am in inner London so not a long distance, just a change of scene.

@alltheadrenalin

I went to the nicer Lidl further away today instead of my usual one 🤣
😧😧 you mean you didn't stay "local"?? You rapscallion!!
StarlightLady · 16/01/2021 05:33

In no particular order.

Feeding and watching garden birds.

Day dreaming about when l can invite someone back for sex.

DinosApple · 16/01/2021 06:21

Feeding the class robin whilst teacher is WFH. George will fly into the cloakroom unless I'm ready with the bird seed once the door is open.
At break and lunch we top up the bird table and the children can quite closely watch. It stops the pigeons bullying George, and they can get a go on the bird table when we go in. Highlights of the day!

Tea, I've discovered that I like it, and it's best consumed with full fat milk and half a pack of cow biscuits.

Whoever said fast forwarding through the boring bits of church made me laugh! There is a certain amount of convenience to online church - I attend in my PJs. Grin

MrsJonesAndMe · 16/01/2021 06:57

I will be driving past Tesco this morning to go to Waitrose Blush

EssentiallyDelighted · 16/01/2021 07:38

Walking up to the allotment a couple of times a week to take all our fruit and veg scraps for composting (home compost bin is full)

Going to the post box to post a birthday card.

Going to work and being able to chat, albeit briefly, at a safe distance and wearing a mask.

Camomila · 16/01/2021 08:06

When it's my turn to go to the supermarket (DH and I alternate who gets to go each week)

Going later, can't wait - the baby has outgrown all his vests so I can legitimately go look at the clothes.

Chutneymaura · 16/01/2021 08:07

I now do my daily Calm meditation lying down. Up yours, Tamara

SuperbGorgonzola · 16/01/2021 08:11

I had to take my laptop to be repaired last week. Two appointments; one to drop off, one to pick up. I made a walk out of it and listened to a podcast. Absolutely brilliant.

MsTSwift · 16/01/2021 08:11

Shamefully ditched Lidl and now shop at M&S. A nice lady hands me a sanitised trolley, few other shoppers and the ones that are there are older and careful. Delicious food. Lidl was like a free for all last time I was in there. Yes it’s more expensive but sod it we’re not spending money on anything else - now is not the time for economy food.

AllTheCakes · 16/01/2021 08:30

Not feeling guilty about slobbing around in pjs at the weekend. We have no pressure to make plans and there’s no where to go which is a lovely change.

@LonnyVonnyWilsonFrickett ooh, we’ve ordered that curry box ahead for Valentine’s Day (because it’s a handy excuse for lots of curry).

Is it as good as it sounds on the website??

CrepuscularCritter · 16/01/2021 09:12

Spending time really listening to the birds, and then working out who they are from online recordings. And enjoying our blackbird, who likes to fly down the side passage singing in a full doppler effect.

Proper coffee every afternoon, and trying different blends. M&S Italian is the current fave. Ordering trial packs of different teas to mix it up.

Making up histories - as in Girl On A Train - for the neighbours across the road that we don't know.

Fiddling with the shopping order to include more chocolate and less veg. So bad, so good.

The wonder that is a stuffed Kindle and a furry blanket on the sofa. And watching the snow fall or the clouds skedaddling across the sky.

harknesswitch · 16/01/2021 09:15

Getting my car washed

Mayzee · 16/01/2021 09:24

I’m going for an eye test today in a town 10 miles away. I’m going to do my hair and make up and wear clothes that are not loungewear!
I’m ridiculously excited.

Mrsjayy · 16/01/2021 09:44

Watching several episodes of your programme at "lunchtime" with not a jot of I need to do... atm it's Schitts creek.
