What is the funniest film of all time?

I'm having a bit of a sad day, twisted my knee in the snow and feeling a bit lonely. I want to watch something really funny to cheer myself up. Please send your recommendations this way.

I find these threads fascinating as I really struggle with finding funny stuff funny. The only "silly" humour o get is movies I loved as a child - so Spaceballs and Robin Hood Men in Tights get my vote.

I find "funny" films are rarely funny, much safer with a comedy series eg. Sienfeld, Kath and Kim, Episodes, Pulling (brilliant!), Motherland...

Loads of great suggestions. I love The Three Stooges for its wonderfully choreographed clever slapstick and brilliant one-liners.
