Yes, that’s what her defense is saying, my point is that was a complex premeditated action over weeks and months she took. Her team are saying she had significant learning disabilities. But how severe could they have been to habe the intelligence to do what she did over that period of time.
Surely it depends on the areas of her brain that are damaged.
I understand what you’re saying but the defence isn’t just saying brain damage, they are saying significant learning disabilities. I am pointing out what she did, over a number of months, took a lot of planning and cunning. There is no way round that, she even researched how to do a c section, targeted her victim, told everyone she was pregnant, faked her relationship and pregnancy to the victim, lured her, killed her and performed rhe c section, and lied throughout. This wasn’t some spur of the moment crime or a crime of passion and agression. This was something she planned for months, with her lying throughout and after, it was cold and calculated.
She was deemed fit to stand trial and to have culpability. And her crime, and the level of preplanning required to do it, over an extended period of time, and why she did it, to enable her to win the child custody case to keep two of her kids with her, shows a level of intelligence.
As said, I do believe absolutely she had significant mental disorders, I also believe rhe brain damage could have had many impacts, I do not believe in the death penalty.
I am questioning how significant her learning disabilities were and based on what she did, the extensive level of planning and lying requires, rhe manipulation, i would steer towards she absolutely knew it was wrong and what she was doing.
