Isnt cow hoof trimming done by a vet?

I met a guy studying wave technology at uni. It makes sense, but I wouldn't have thought there was enough wave info to learn about to stretch to 3yrs worth!

justineboober · 11/01/2021 21:29

Arsehole bleacher

Until I saw a programme years ago where someone was having their bum hole bleached. You learn something new every day.

goose1964 · 11/01/2021 21:34

28Elouera,hope it's done by a professional, look up the hoof gp on youtube. He's easy on the eyes too.

Arsehole bleacher I cant stop laughing.

Imagine someone going into the 'beauty' industry and specialising in that!!!

Chocolate buyer - best job in the world!

MojoJojo71 · 11/01/2021 21:58

Horse sheath cleaner 🤢

Recently discovered this was a thing from one of my horsey friends

StylishMummy · 11/01/2021 22:00

@MojoJojo71 I used to do my own pony's sheath when required - grim but keeps them clean and prevents infection. Certainly wouldn't pay someone else to do it Grin

Mine is professional sleeper!

SlothWithACloth · 11/01/2021 22:03

Intimacy coach.
A mnetter noticed this on a Bridgerton thread. If you’ve seen Bridgerton, there was quite a lot of ‘intimacy’ to be coaching.

Cakeismyhero · 11/01/2021 22:26

@goose1964 I love watching those videos!! Something I'd never thought about, yet now i know so much about cows hooves Grin

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 12/01/2021 01:21

I remember seeing in a job paper over 20 years ago an advert for a 'cabbage blower'. To this day, I have no idea what this might actually entail.

All sorts of niche mechanical engineering skills. Been watching classic car restoration progs and whole new world of small firms doing amazing stuff which Id never known about and still don’t really understand !

MooseBeTimeForSummer · 12/01/2021 06:20

@WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll cabbage blowing is part of the process between picking and packing

Grass specialist who consults on and supplies playing surfaces for sports.

LadyJaye · 12/01/2021 08:15

I was devastated when I found out pyrotechnics - designing firework displays, film and TV explosions etc - was an actual career option.

I've wasted my life.

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 12/01/2021 08:55

Thanks, MooseBeTimeForSummer - I was rather hoping that it would be something to do with actual vegetables and not some kind of euphemism relating to 'adult' services!

I still wonder why only cabbages, though: why do carrots, onions, leeks, broccoli etc. not need blowing before sale?!

My business falls into this! We are engine reconditioners! We fix, tune and recondition internal combustion engines. We do a lot of Classics but we also do racing cars (not F1, mostly rally) and commercial, so lorries, ambulances etc. We have in the past also done airplane engines and boats too but they are few & far between!!
Whoateallthechocolate · 12/01/2021 10:03

Just read this thread and then flicked onto an article in The Times which quoted a "snake locomotion specialist". So he's not just into studying snakes but specifically into studying how they move! Who knew?!!
