@DOINGOURBIT

Clearly you have no understanding how autism affects senses, and even wearing a mask for a short period of time can be difficult. Telling a young lady with learning difficulties / autism do you want a medal is nothing short of rude and insensitive. Beats me why women feel the need to berate other women?

My point was that however difficult it is, she is scared not to wear her mask, and that is the overriding factor in wearing one. Not that she wants a medal, no.

But not everyone with autism can wear a mask. What do you want them to do?

@ToadsThePeanutButterSnob

The piss takers are putting everybody in danger.

What piss takers?

Anti maskers, groups together without masks, those with masks under their noses. 4 out of 10 only with masks on, some of the inner city occurances here.

If you don't know who the piss takers are then you must be fortunate enough to live in an area with high compliance.

ToadsThePeanutButterSnob · 11/01/2021 21:29

Be cause i think everyone should wear them or not go in the shop Why can some people have the right to put others at risk because have to be allowed in without a mask Other countries dont faff about like this

That is no reason for people to be rubbing their hands in glee over the thought of vulnerable people catching Covid and having to be put on a ventilator.

nevernotstruggling · 11/01/2021 21:31

I suffer with anxiety and this causes hyperventilating and so on. I'm honestly really struggling with masks for long periods.

Still wearing one though - don't fancy the rona!!!

ToadsThePeanutButterSnob · 11/01/2021 21:31

Like I said before, I don't know anyone who isn't wearing a mask.

99% of people I see in shops are wearing masks. Yet everyone else seems to know loads of people who running around the supermarket maskless and killing people...

sofiaaaaaa · 11/01/2021 21:31

Piss takers are everywhere near me. With the icy weather recently, I took the train to work instead of driving for about 2 weeks. There are countless people who remove masks when staff can’t see them or just poke their nose out. Bare in mind my area was in Tier 4 prior to lockdown, there were frequent announcements that masks should be worn and worn properly

When did i say that? I didn’t! But those with whatever it is ‘stops ‘ them mask wearing clearly are happy to put others at risk if they have covid asymptotically are spreading it
middleager · 11/01/2021 21:33

Yes we were tier 4 too, densely populated city, which makes it even more concerning.

ToadsThePeanutButterSnob · 11/01/2021 21:34

They're still letting in people who are medically exempt though. So nothing has actually changed.

RetailGail · 11/01/2021 21:35

maybe signage along the lines of 'not wearing a mask puts OTHERS at risk'

shame the feckless ones a bit and maybe those who are exempt will at least try to wear one and hurry their shopping trip up a bit..

RetailGail · 11/01/2021 21:37

just because people are medically exempt doesn't mean they can't wear a mask

they maybe need to try again. i dont want them anywhere near me if they are massless,sorry but i won't be assisting more than the bare minimum

ToadsThePeanutButterSnob · 11/01/2021 21:39

Yes that's exactly what it means.

No sadly it hasnt so all the happy little self exempters can shop away cheerfully spreading covid to the vulnerable and elderly who are doing their best to protect them selves by wearing nasty uncomfortable masks

What? Who would be pleased about another person catching Covid?! Certainly not the people actively wearing masks to help protect themselves AND others.

You sound like you've lost the plot, tbh.

I wear a mask!! How many more times do I need to say it!

Gingaaarghpussy · 11/01/2021 21:41

Having meandered around amazon, there are various "masks" that are plastic. So I have ordered some.
What I don't understand is how a visor is acceptable on its own, it doesn't stop any lurgy from creeping underneath, so how does it protect from breathing in/out germs?

gannett · 11/01/2021 21:42

I wish the govt had got it together to provide exempt people with a badge or card or whatever. I do not think those who really can't wear a mask should have to, or to be harassed about it.

It's the piss-takers and anti-mask idiots I have a problem with. The ones who can very well wear a mask but throw a tantrum about it. And there are too many of them around.

ToadsThePeanutButterSnob · 11/01/2021 21:44

So funny.

BooBahBoo · 11/01/2021 21:57

@ToadsThePeanutButterSnob

Say that then, rather than a stupid, snippy remark putting someone's daughter down? Hmm

RedMarauder · 11/01/2021 21:58

@ToadsThePeanutButterSnob

I doubt you'll find a ventilator easier to wear than a light piece of fabric.

You are sedated while on a ventilator so it's actually probably a lot easier to deal with.

You obviously have never been sedated or reacted to being sedated.

Luckily I have never been sedated while rolled on my front.

goingtotown · 11/01/2021 21:58

No mask or visor, stay at home to protect yourself & others.

ToadsThePeanutButterSnob · 11/01/2021 22:14

I swear to God this whole thing better be over by next summerr.

ImBoredAgain · 11/01/2021 22:27

@SymphonyofShadows

If you can’t wear a mask why don’t you wear a visor? Genuine question
Because I don’t want to?
SymphonyofShadows · 11/01/2021 22:30

Wow ImBoredAgain such a rebel. It’s not actually all about you though, is it dear?
