Handhold DH heading to ICU covid

DH went to hospital yesterday for breathing issues. We’ve been unwell for a few days and we’re already awaiting covid tests.

Just been told he’s taken a turn and is heading to ICU. He is ECV and we’ve been so careful, we’ve not been out except to the supermarket, and we’ve avoided seeing anyone.

I’m just so worried and I know the next few days will be critical

Crabby? Not at all and even if you were then bloody hell you can be how you want. You are going through an awful time.

@Groovinpeanut - oh lovely I'm so sorry. I'm here if ever you want to talk. I know how difficult it is and how long each day feels right now. Try to eat little and often, and get rest where you can.

Update - DH has taken a big step backwards today. He is asking to be ventilated this afternoon. He has completely given up and is finding it all too tough. His oxygen levels are poor and he just doesn't have the energy to fight anymore. It's not what I want. But then again, none of this is.

Sorry to hear this. Ventilation is the last thing that anybody would want but if it gives your DH's body time to rest, as by the sounds of it he is very tired etc. Wishing you all the best and hoping for a speedy recovery for your DH

Sending well wishes vibes to your DH. I have been in the position this last year of seeing both my parents extremely poorly with other conditions and somehow coming back from it and coming home against the odds. It's taught me that humans are tougher than I thought possible.
