You have £3k to spend on yourself

What do you buy?

The rules are simple: it cannot benefit anyone but you. So if you wanted to go on holiday, that’s fine, but anyone else would have to pay their part completely. You cannot buy anything for anyone else including children and you cannot pay off debt.

So in this dreamland, what are you buying?

I was thinking a VCA necklace but even in this fake world, I can’t imagine spending so much on one thing!

I quite fancy a fat farm/ bootcamp to get rid of some of my Christmas paunch - maybe somewhere warm!

MegBusset · 01/01/2021 19:56

A week in a really nice hotel in the Lake District - walk all day, spa / dinner / reading in the evening.
(To be fair the main issue for me is not cost, but time. The idea of having a week to do as I please is much more fanciful!)

I went on a Jason Vale juicing retreat in Portugal, that was a good.

fitflopqueen · 01/01/2021 20:00

Alpaca

Foghead · 01/01/2021 20:01

Does it have to be in one go? I’d buy 3 return flights so I could visit my sister 3 times.

Emerald99 · 01/01/2021 20:08

Acne scarring treatment.

diamondpony80 · 01/01/2021 20:17

I’d invest it in cryptocurrency. Double my money and take out the initial 3k and keep the 3k profit in to grow it further. Not sure what I’d spend it on though. Probably some on clothes once I’ve reached my target weight.

EverythingsComingUpRoses · 01/01/2021 20:30

Braces

Boomerwang · 01/01/2021 20:34

If it was a use it or lose it situation I'd get laser eye surgery, although I don't know if 3k is enough.

If it was mine to keep then I'd invest it.

caringcarer · 01/01/2021 20:35

I think I would invest in the stock markets. I am Thinking of doing this maybe 3 stocks for £1k each.

I just bought myself a new runaround car for £4k.

mamawithfive · 01/01/2021 20:36

Teeth whitening and straightening- don’t need masses of work but could be much better!

and a weekend break, nice hotel, in the city centre with good clothes shops so I could buy some new clothes! Room service, massive bed, no alarm!

MrsMiaWallis · 01/01/2021 20:39

Ooh a pair of serious binoculars for astronomy.

Numbersarefun · 01/01/2021 20:41

An outdoor craft room in the garden.

Mintjulia · 01/01/2021 20:42

I haven't bought anything this winter. I'd buy....

Two wool sweaters, new running leggings, some underwear, And a sheepskin rug for the sitting room. Teeth whitening.

If there's any left, I need a new bath panel Grin

OrigamiOwl · 01/01/2021 20:43

Liposuction

Oly4 · 01/01/2021 20:43

A beautiful watch that I could then pass on to my daughter

Bearsbearsbears40 · 01/01/2021 20:44

An e-mountain bike and a weekend away in a fancy hotel on my own.

Bloodhoundgang · 01/01/2021 20:45

Braces for my teeth and then when we are allowed, a few months worth of manicures from my favourite nail person.

MarkRuffaloCrumble · 01/01/2021 20:48

Hot tub/sex pond. But if it can’t benefit anyone else I’ll just keep them all out and use it on my own. And I don’t care if it annoys the neighbours.

pandora206 · 01/01/2021 20:58

A week at a Jason Vale retreat and if there is anything left over a beautiful Persian rug.

IceDiscoSkater · 01/01/2021 21:09
