DH is baking a frangipani tart with mincemeat which smells amazing. He’s made it before & it was one of the best desserts I’ve ever had. DD12 is in her room as per usual. I’ve been for an eyetest & ended up with a bill for over £300 for new frames & prescription sunglasses! Very glad I will get paid for overtime tomorrow! Also checked out the Boots sale ( shelves stripped virtually bare) & got next year’s family Christmas cards halfprice in the Card Factory. Trying to work out what we need to do now we’re heading for Tier 3. DH & I will still be working but I may have to take time off as DD isn’t going back to school until mid January & can no longer be looked after by DM & DF.

DH is playing with DS1 (3), he got some Octonaut toys for Christmas so they’re currently rescuing a giant squid. We’ll get him changed for bed soon. I’m feeding DS2 (7 months) who is ready for bed. We’ve just had a take a way pizza, a little treat before heading into tier 4 tonight! Bedtime for the boys soon followed by an evening of TV and early bed for us!

wishywashywoowoo70 · 30/12/2020 18:51

DH is playing games on his phone. I'm cooking
DD is lying on our new rug watching the Grinch (again) SS is upstairs doing god knows what in his room with his GF

LeonoraFlorence · 30/12/2020 18:52

We had takeaway for dinner and DDs and DH are currently building an ‘extreme marble run’ on floor. Baby is sitting in bouncy chair watching what’s going on. I’m sitting on couch with toddler having a cup of coffee.

Thinkingahead8 · 30/12/2020 18:54

Cuddling up and watching Shrek with DS (3).

Rough few days and hearing his little giggles at the movie makes it all a bit better.

AdoraBell · 30/12/2020 18:56

I’m waiting for the oven to warm up, pizzas going in. Just had a bath and need to comb my hair before it dries in a ball 🤦‍♀️.

DH watching TV

Both DDs doing Uni work. Both are home for Christmas and may now be stuck here. Neither are happy about that.

I’m seriously thinking only a G&at will do.

grassisjeweled · 30/12/2020 18:56

I'm taking a break mnetting

Kids are in the playroom

DH is somewhere?

Just got back from supermarket

Went to park for a play date this AM

Snowing now, pretty

PickAChew · 30/12/2020 18:58

I'm letting dinner land (curry made yesterday)
DH is washing up.
Ds2 has gone upstairs to watch TV and growl a lot.
Ds1 is in another room on his laptop and will come in for some dinner of his own, at some point.

InTheseUncertainTimes · 30/12/2020 18:59

DH is busy with some car chase from the look of it.

I'm sipping Lemsip and pondering if I'm just having a tiny bit of temperature and a bad asthma day, or if I should be booking a covid test.

PickAChew · 30/12/2020 19:00

Childcare bubbles should still be allowed, BTW.

Suzi888 · 30/12/2020 19:00

Buckaroo and slime Xmas Hmm

funnyoldonion · 30/12/2020 19:01

I'm watching "How to train your dragon" in an oodie with my youngest. Making homemade breaded chicken and might even have some Xmas pudding and brandy sauce. Eldest is upstairs binge watching Netflix in her teddy bedding.

Serena1977 · 30/12/2020 19:07

Right now, DC are playing on their switch Christmas present. Dh is in the kitchen making a roast for tea whilst listening to a book. I'm trying to keep warm in the living room.

Today, we went for a walk then took the new hoverboard cart to the park. Kids loved it! Was very cold. Did a tip run, called at m & s to swap a wrong size and called at b&q for a lava lamp bulb (which they didnt have).

Dh did food shop at tesco this morning too.

Busy day, glad though as we are now in tier 4.

Champagneforeveryone · 30/12/2020 19:10

DH and I are watching The Crown and I am impatiently checking my phone for my Covid test result so that I can go back to work tomorrow night.

DS was playing the drums but we've thankfully reached the agreed 7pm end time.

EternalOptimist7 · 30/12/2020 19:10

pickachew will have to double check on that. Really don’t want to take time off if I can help it

Ds1 is playing Fortnite with his friends, me and Ds2 are watching Twirlywoos before bed and Dh is playing a game on his phone. After bedtime we're having a curry and glass of wine whilst watching a film.

TheGrinchisstealingChristmas · 30/12/2020 19:13

Just had a KFC on paper plates and paper cups so no washing up - this was instead of tomorrow when the queues will probably be insane.

DS1 is upstairs revising in case his mocks go ahead.

DS2 building a virtual rollercoaster.

Hubby playing Clash of Clans whilst looking over glasses at The Repair Shop to see how a chopper bike turns out.
I should be working online but am going down the rabbit hole of MN instead.

PickAChew · 30/12/2020 19:16

We've just moved from 3 to 4. There was a big stink about how parents could work when we first had additional restrictions, back in September, so I can't see the bubbles being pulled away unless we end up with a very strict lockdown

Flapjackninja · 30/12/2020 19:16

DD is playing on her iPad/Watching Dr Who
DP is trying his hand at video editing :/
I'm supposed to be doing tea but I've eaten a share size packet of crisps and now I'm not hungry...

Whirlwind14 · 30/12/2020 19:18

DS is building a den with the playroom sofa cushions, 18 mo DD is trashing his construction. He’s whining. DH has rebuilt said den 3 times now and is currently threatening the bath...

I’m counting the minutes until I can go to bed (DD is a horrendous sleeper)

DH is flicking through channels Angry

ArtyFartyQueen · 30/12/2020 19:19

We've just had homemade curry for tea. Now the kids are upstairs playing computer games as a treat before stories and bedtime for the youngest. DH is waiting for the football to start and I'm contemplating what to do this evening....

ArtemisBean · 30/12/2020 19:23

I'm singing sea shanties to DS to get him off to sleep. DH is washing up downstairs and sheepishly trying to make up for being a grumpy sod all day (weather, toddler, lockdown etc.)

RosieLemonade · 30/12/2020 19:26

Tier 4 people are allowed childcare bubbles. And imagine will be able to until we go into a full lockdown.
I’m planning guides reading which any teacher will tell you is the most long winded process in the world DH is on call but they have put his dad’s name on the call sheet so there has been a lot of confusion.

junglepie · 30/12/2020 19:30

currently all on day 7 of isolating as dd (14) tested positive. Going slightly mad now! 2 dd upstairs doing uni work, other 2 dd in rooms watching netflix. ds (12) in his room playing among us on his phone. Dh watching netflix in lounge.
Im stressing about trying to juggle my job form home tomorrow in a full house (I'm nhs clinician and my job cant easily be done from home, and I so needed to be in work this week!) and now looking forward to who knows how many weeks of trying to pursuade very reluctant 12 yr old to engage with home leanring whilst both myself and dh are out at work full time. Happy days. Im on my second glass of wine LOL

H1978 · 30/12/2020 19:30

Dcs on various screens around the house.

I’ve just put a white load of washing away, now waiting for another load still in the tumble dryer. Looking forward to the football in half and hour.

Not sure where dh had gone 🤔 should have been home a while ago.
