The amount of “merry Christmas” posts I’ve seen on social media today. It’s tomorrow ffs. The name is in the title “Christmas day”

It's the season- I have been saying Merry Christmas to people for a few days now.

Plus, Christmas to a lot of people is the 24th-26th.

More than likely saying it today as they won't be using social media tmz an well saying it on boxing day is a little late.

I've been wishing people merry Christmas (shop staff, bus drivers etc) all week. Sorry if any of them got annoyed about it, but most seemed to take it in the spirit it was given.

I don’t bother much with social media, but if I was to wish people merry Christmas on social media I’d do it today. Tomorrow I intend to spend with my family, not staring at my phone waiting for “likes”. Surely it makes sense to do all that stuff today?

Christmas Eve is the main event for many. Also some people may not be using social media tomorrow

Do you open Christmas cards before Christmas day and get pissed off too, or is your rage reserved solely for social media.

It's the Christmas season, and people who have time to post a merry Christmas message on social media on the actual Christmas day, need a shove off,and come off it for once.

My most thoughtful friends have wished me a Merry Christmas" today because they don't want to do a combined Christmas/birthday greeting tomorrow, so will send me a separate birthday greeting tomorrow.

I have the opposite, today is for birthday wishes, tomorrow is for Merry Christmases!

I am French so Christmas is today for me. Although it really is the whole festive period.

Christmas Day is a busy one for lots of people, cooking, eating, opening presents, drinking, sleeping off hangover, assembling childrens toys etc so a lot of people, including myself send out my happy christmas on social media on Christmas Day, its no different to sending christmas cards before the day itself. Its just being nice to people does it really matter if its not the day itself?

I've always wished people a Happy or Merry Christmas if I'm seeing them a day or two before, as in my mind I'm saying I hope they have a nice time. It might be xmas eve, but we've started enjoying ourselves, so far eating xmas cake and I'm about to have cheese, crackers and pickles. One of us will be working 26th, and all of us on 27th, so I don't mind extending it.

I know people get offended by anything, but really?

Half the people on my SM are from a country where the Eve is really the only day celebrated. The other will just have to suffer the premature wishes. I also have some vain hopes of doing non-SM things for most of tomorrow.
