I just can’t get in the Christmas mood at all. Wish it would all just pass by without any fuss this year.

We may have homemade pizza or pancakes for Christmas dinner yet! Erm, I've not done an online order this year...

DH said earlier he was ready for this year to be over. I said you've got a few months yet. He hd to remind me the year will be over in three weeks!

I mean usually I leave everything too late but this year, with working from home and not having any Christmas festivities I haven't given it a thought.

It's the same (for me) every year. I HATE that it all starts in bloody September & I get grumpy & 'bugger off' then before I know it, it's upon us! I do TRY to start in Nov

I'm currently surrounded by Christmas Decorations that need
putting up, Christmas cards that need writing....🙄

Christmas seems to creep up on you in a different way depending on the day of the week it falls. Just as months seem longer if they have five weekends whereas some have four.

I'm fairly organised for Christmas but theres just no Christmas spirit this year so it doesnt feel like it's coming. I'm WFH so I drop the kids down in the morning then come home and sit on my own for 8 hours. I turn on the radio for a couple of hours in the morning, then get sick of it so end up sitting in silence. Its such a joy kill.

O I also have my birthday in January which makes me hate January even more. It's the worst time of year.

Our tree isn't even up yet!!

WTF am I gonna get my mum and dad, I have gifts for neither yet, 😫

Just not feeling Christmassy and I've tried :-(

I'm not feeling it at all. DS is isolating at the moment, I'm not working and we've just gone into Tier 3. Normally would be loving the run up to Christmas and the idea of being off work for 2 weeks and this year I can think of nothing I'd less rather do.

I'm with you op. Cannot get my head around the fact it's next week! Had this convo at work today:

Colleague: You're off next week aren't you?

Me: No, I'm off in Christmas week on 22nd and 23rd.

Colleague: That's next week!

Me: 😯

DH pointed this out to me earlier. In my head I still had at least 3 weeks to get organised! I'm still waiting for many parcels, have gifts still to buy, nothing is wrapped, cards aren't written. I was patting myself on the back as I stood in a big queue at the shop to buy stamps earlier but they didn't have any left

DH is threatening to leave as I keep playing youtube vids on the TV of wintery villages, choirs, fireplaces burning bright and Christmas light walks from around the world.

Any other ideas how I can torment him?
