A bit of covid rule breaking going on round here over Christmas.
I'm avoiding any parties but I do miss them

OP posts:
PicsInRed · 12/12/2020 16:09

No..The vaccine's arrived. Just wait til Spring and Summer to party, not much longer now.

Pandabuzz · 12/12/2020 16:09

Obviously not because I’m not selfish. Even if you get Covid and you’re fine, think of who you could pass it on to.

DannyGlickWindowTapping · 12/12/2020 16:11

@HollysBush

DannyGilck, I believe The Grinch is on TV tomorrow if you fancy it?
Lol, I'm actually doing a Zoom Secret Santa with friends / kids. I will be wearing my sparkly Grinch t-shirt, tho. 😉
DougRossIsTheBoss · 12/12/2020 16:13

It's about the worst time you could do it now isn't it? With people planning to see vulnerable elderly relatives for Christmas.
Just a stupid shitty thing to do

mamaoffourdc · 12/12/2020 16:14

No and I'm not a sheep - people are dying and becoming very ill! 🙄🙄

gillianan · 12/12/2020 16:15

fgs its clear that anyone who calls people "sheep" are the real sheep following the conspiracy theorists and fb scientists Hmm its embarrassing

No I wouldn't go,as I actually want this all to end and not have yet another wave

HopeYourHighHorseBucks · 12/12/2020 16:17

Depends if I liked the host enough.

EnPoinsettia · 12/12/2020 16:18

Nope.

Elfieishere · 12/12/2020 16:27

Yes I’d go

Girlonatubetrain2 · 12/12/2020 16:29

Yep

gypsywater · 12/12/2020 16:31

I'm not friends with anyone who would even consider this

Purplecatshopaholic · 12/12/2020 16:31

Nope. Not even if it was within the (frankly crazy) so-called rules. The virus doesn’t know what they are and doesn’t care....

Bluntness100 · 12/12/2020 16:31

Depends, but if it was my close friends, yes.

ZarkingBell · 12/12/2020 16:33

no

GabsAlot · 12/12/2020 16:34

no but im just not surprised anymore my town has one of the highest rates in the country

BackforGood · 12/12/2020 16:35

No, I'm just not that selfish.
Any slight rule bending from anyone under my roof would be just that - perhaps meeting for a walk outside.
I love a party. I have been missing mingling with people SO much, but it would just be so selfish at the moment to even think about it.

roarfeckingroarr · 12/12/2020 16:35

I have and would. There are small indoor get togethers - soirées not parties - every other day round here (London). People haven't seen their friends properly for so long and it's the Christmas festive season. Was always going to happen if the government put down ridiculous rules.

JorisBonson · 12/12/2020 16:38

@RayOfSunshine2013

Yes. I’m fully prepared to be moaned at by the sheep but yes i would, I’ve continued as close to normal as possible throughout.
Have you ways been a dick or did covid just bring it out of you? 🙄
ApolloandDaphne · 12/12/2020 16:42

No I wouldn't. I would love to but I wouldn't.

Nicolastuffedone · 12/12/2020 16:42

No

Jaxhog · 12/12/2020 16:43

Yes. I’m fully prepared to be moaned at by the sheep but yes i would, I’ve continued as close to normal as possible throughout.

You wouldn't if you had lost friends due to Covid. You shouldn't in case you do. Please don't, as it might be more of my friends that get infected because of your attitude.

We aren't sheep, but neither are we selfish wolves.

ClickandForget · 12/12/2020 16:44

This year has been far less hard on us unsociable grumpy bastards

Indeed. I'm struggling to stay grumpy.

dietingtomorrow · 12/12/2020 16:44

No. I'm definitely no sheep. I can think for myself! Perhaps you might be though if you allow yourself to be coerced into such a stupid move!

TheSpottedZebra · 12/12/2020 16:48

Sure sure, SOIRÉES are fine. No virus could thrive at a soirée.
