A bit of covid rule breaking going on round here over Christmas.
I'm avoiding any parties but I do miss them

OP posts:
Badbadbunny · 12/12/2020 15:31

No - how can anyone even consider it?

RedMarauder · 12/12/2020 15:32

No I wouldn't.

I'm surrounded by elderly/vulnerable people.

Pyewhacket · 12/12/2020 15:33

No.

DannyGlickWindowTapping · 12/12/2020 15:34

No. But then, I've also avoided the House Party app! I'm just a Grinch.

scentedgeranium · 12/12/2020 15:34

No
But I'm curious, what tier is this?

MrsTerryPratchett · 12/12/2020 15:34

Of course not.

My job involves a lot of vulnerable and elderly people. I'm doing as much as I can to limit my exposure and keep them safe.

Elieza · 12/12/2020 15:35

Not a chance in hell would I attend.

My life is important to me. I don’t want to lose it for the sake of a stupid party! It’s just not worth it.

Even if you recover from CV there are a lot of people who have horrible problems now and are living half lives with no idea when or if they will get better.

I’d be the annoying neighbour in the phone to the polis to break it up.
Not because I’m a kill joy but because sometimes people make mistakes and this is a dangerous one to make.

Ghostlyglow · 12/12/2020 15:36

No (might have done if I was a lot younger though, I'll admit it)

VettiyaIruken · 12/12/2020 15:38

Nope.
But to be honest Im not a fan of parties so wouldn't want to go anyway.

This year has been far less hard on us unsociable grumpy bastards.

ItsReallyOnlyMe · 12/12/2020 15:39

No

Suzi888 · 12/12/2020 15:40

No

Shuffled · 12/12/2020 15:49

No. I won't even be mixing extra families.

santabetterwashhishands · 12/12/2020 15:51

Nope

housemdwaswrong · 12/12/2020 15:53

'Moaned at the by the sheep.' Love the attempt at superiority whilst slagging everyone off.

No. And if you lived where I do you really wouldn't want to.

Thunderpunt · 12/12/2020 15:54

Yep

MaelyssQ · 12/12/2020 15:59

I wouldn't. I'm not a sheep, I'm just sensible and I don't want to spread the virus to elderly and vulnerable people I may be in contact with through work.

Scarby9 · 12/12/2020 16:02

I do feel for the police having to go in to break up these parties and getting grief for doing it.
They are selfish.

Flowerpot345 · 12/12/2020 16:04

No

Maskedcrusader · 12/12/2020 16:05

No, not this year. I usually host a big boxing day party but this year it just me & the kids for Christmas. Hopefully we can make up for it next year.

HollysBush · 12/12/2020 16:05

DannyGilck, I believe The Grinch is on TV tomorrow if you fancy it?

DougRossIsTheBoss · 12/12/2020 16:06

No. Two huge outbreaks on hospital wards at my place of work right now, one local secondary school nearly all year groups closed.
It feels very very close to home right now.

No way would I risk spreading it at a house party and I love a party with friends, drink and kitchen dancing.

If I feel tempted I ask myself. How would you feel if you had it and gave it to people? Could you look their spouse in the eye if they were hospitalised? My friends are not of an age (40s/50s) where all of us would certainly be fine. Imagining that is usually enough to stop me.

lovescaca · 12/12/2020 16:07

@RayOfSunshine2013

I'm with u 👍

Peanutbutterblood · 12/12/2020 16:08

Hell no. Our area is rife right now. I've been invited to an outdoor event tomorrow, all socially distant and following rules but I'm going to bail on that to.

HallFloor · 12/12/2020 16:08

No, I'm positive although my symptoms are very minor, like a bit of a cold. I was shocked when the test I thought I didn't need came back positive.

If I'd gone, how many households would be infected during the Christmas mixing?

MadinMarch · 12/12/2020 16:08

FFS.
Grow up and try to be a little bit less selfish and a little more mature.
