One packet of Angel Delight is four servings?!

I’m flabbergasted. Just treating myself to some Banana Angel Delight as you do and noticed when made up it’s meant to serve four people! Unless it means four kids , cos I appreciate it’s probably not aimed at my age group, but all the same.. Is that right or am I just greedy?

It’s half a pint of milk and some dust, how is that 4 portions?

We used to have little glass dishes that held a portion it is around the size of a yogurt pot.

It does 4 in our house. A medium sized spoonful each with some fruit for me and dd (2), 1 small bowl with fruit for ds (5) and the rest for dh.

I think it would be nice as the filling in a Victoria sponge.

But now I’m just sounding weird.

I'd have guessed it was meant to be two servings, but I'd make it all and eat it myself.

I would say two adult portions or three to four child portions.

Maybe the packets are smaller . When I was a kid one packet served 4 .

But it only serves 4 of you because you have stuff with it like fruit. If you had it by itself then there would be about 2 spoonfuls each. 2 spoonfuls isn't a portion, I would have said it severs 2 at most.

It's clearly a typo. They mean 1. 1 serving! My mum and I used to share one as a kid I think but I'd have one now and be full to the brim, I imagine. If only I read this before I went shopping!

I wonder if the portions were bigger back in the day? More than likely as everything else has shrunk to small proportions, the kid in this picture must have had all 4 servings.

Ha! Great photo..but yes that is the entire contents of my bowl in one portion.

Angel Delight only tastes right when served in a proper Sundae glass, with a long stem (like their used to be on the front of the packet back in the day).
My mum (God rest her) would try and con us by buying.....wait for it....Instant Whip. It tasted totally different, she thought we’d not be able to tell the difference.

Oh no! But did it taste nice? What's in the 'kit'?

We used to have it and it fed 4 of us. In the usual bowls we had cereal in. Something isn’t right.

Mint chocolate flavour's the best ( if you can find it).
1 packet = one adult portion if you're at home on your own.
You can scrape 3 kids portions from 1 packet.

I had Angel Delight a few weeks ago whilst on a nostalgia kick, it just wasn't the same. i really miss Dream Topping though. That used to be lovely on a trifle.

Yeah one packet is never enough for 4 people! What a miserable tiny portion of yummyness that must be.

Another love for butterscotch - I'll have to try that and see if it's the same

My genius friend uses some to make hot chocolate, never considered it before but it's a bit of a game changer!

Haven't had it since I was a child but it was definitely one packet for the family of 4. It was served in trifle glasses.
