Stripper at a bachelorette party-yes or no?

Hey Ladies,

Just a light-hearted post. I've noticed that lots of women are against their partner having a stripper at his bachelorette party(visa-versa but I havent seen examples though) . I personally don't have a problem but I wonder if I am missing something?? Its even in TV shows where its a big no-no. DH was taken to a strip club where he had few drinks and then left to have dinner. His opinion of the whole thing is a shrug.

So what do you think?

Do you mean bachelor party, as in what is usually called a stag do?

My problem would not be with him looking at other women or jealousy, but discovering that I had agreed to marry someone who saw womens bodies as a purchasable object and form of entertainment. I couldn't respect him after that.

My friend had one on her hen do, we all had a few drinks too many, it was fun but if I were her I'd be worried that the photos of her with her hands in his underwear whilst sittng on his lap might come back to haunt one day.

I wouldn’t want to attend a party like that, and my opinion of anyone who’d enjoy a party like that would change and not for the better. Grim.

If DH was the kind of man who had his stag at a strip club, he would not be my DH.
I also don't see the appeal of women hiring strippers for hen dos and I wouldn't attend if one was booked.

Absolutely a no from me. If DH had thought women's body's were little more than objects to pay for he certainly would not have been made a DH (more like D.Umped)

I'm the same with women having male strippers at hen dos, it's why I didn't attend my SILs naked butler dinner because:

  1. paying to lust after someone who is purely there dud to financial need is gross.

  2. I'm not sure I could enjoy a nice sea food ravioli knowing I was sitting at eye level to a penis.

I think it's sleazy, paying male or female strippers. I don't think less of the strippers but I do think significantly less of the people who exploit them - male or female. Yuck.

I'm the total opposite. I've been on hen dos where strippers were there and my partner has been on stag dos with a stripper there too. We've been to a lap dancing club together too. As long as a person is only looking and not touching I have no problem with it.,

I have no issues at all with it, they can't touch them and its just a night out, my husband on his stag went to one had 3 lap dances, he called me after and was so drunk giggling that he had seen 3 fannies it was so funny.

I don’t have an issue with it in that I mind my DH being near other women
However, I think it’s gross, sleazy and exploitative. If a male stripper grabbed me and started grinding anywhere near me he would get 1 warning and then a knee in his nuts. Also, if DH was the kind of man to find female strippers entertaining he wouldn’t be my DH
