What is something you AREN'T good at??

As mums we're kindof expected to be good at everything but I am fed up of this unrealistic standard.

I'll admit I'm terrible at decorating, keeping things organised and, sadly, time keeping.

Chopping food - either it looks like I’ve chopped it with a plastic spoon or I end up bleeding.

I’m crap at playing. Quite good at board games, computer games etc. But barbies or zoos? Nope, no capacity whatsoever. Luckily dh is great at it

Maths. I’m shockingly bad at it.

I am a terrible singer and dancer. I have zero sense of rhythm, and can not hold a tune for more than a few notes.

I also have the penmanship a drunken raccoon.

I also struggle opening boxes, so all cereals, etc look like they have been chewed open

Using cling film. How the hell do you even use that jaggedy bit on the box to 'cut' it without it resticking to itself or screwing itself back up?! Pissed me off everytime I even attempt to use it

Arty stuff. Can't draw for toffee.

Sewing. I can not sew for toffee. I still have a pile of dozens of brownie badges to sew on DDs camp blanket and I'm shit at it. She 25 now, btw.

I make decent cakes and pastry but cannot make scones. I’ve tried so many times and they’re always flat and solid

Working with other people. I'm articulate, can listen, have a fair amount of empathy and patience, good customer service skills but I am just the shittest employee ever.

Relationships. I'm absolutely flipping hopeless. I can't keep all the plates spinning at the same time.

I cannot crack eggs! We get through roughly a dozen a week, I can cook them fine (don't get why people find poached eggs hard!) but I just can't get the hang of getting them out of the shell!

I cant do anything neatly! I can bake and sew and draw etc but none of them amazingly well. I am a jack of all trades but a master of none. People tell me it's a good thing but Id love to have one thing I'm really good at so I could actually properly have a skill rather than doing a half decent job at everything. Definitely a first world problem!

Car with 360 cameras and park assist (it parks for you, you just use pedals and it steers) have changed my life

I'm really bad at plaiting hair, in fact, most hairstyles. Was never an issue before but now dd is 6 and she wants me to do her hair like her friends 🤦‍♀️
