Lighthearted...

You want a pint of milk. There is only quarter pint in the current open bottle.

Do you..

A... pour the the quarter pint into glass, drink it, open new bottle and pour three quarters of fresh milk into glass.

B... pour in the quarter and top up with milk from new bottle, so mixing two bottles.

C... leave the quarter in the bottle, open a new bottle and have pint out of one bottle.

Well, I'd never drink a whole pint of milk, but assuming a smaller total volume, I'd go for B.

TheCanyon · 21/11/2020 21:41

Mix milk bottles? Wtaf. You finish the quarter then the rest from the new bottle, surely that's the only same answer.

C - reasoning as per @santaisironingwrappingpaper

If you do A you’re not getting a pint if it’s intended for cooking ect...

Pour the quarter into the bottom of the glass and then top of with three quarters from the newer pint.

There's 5 of us in this house though I wouldn't be buying single pints.

B obvs. Why wouldn't you? As long as it's not gone off in either bottle it doesn't matter. You will be stinking both bottles either way. They either mix in the glass and your stomach, or just in your stomach.

Whatthebloodyell · 21/11/2020 21:46

If I wanted to drink a pint of milk then I would drink the fresh. But I wouldn’t Chuck the 1/4 pint, milk doesn’t go
To waste in my house!

B. Am guessing someone close to you thinks C Grin

CoffeeRunner · 21/11/2020 21:47

Theoretically B. I don’t drink milk though 😂.

MeringueCloud · 21/11/2020 21:48

Depends when you opened the first bottle.

InTheLongGrass · 21/11/2020 21:49

I'd do B for DS - the only one who drinks milk in this house. Should I not?
I'd also do B when cooking.

gamerchick · 21/11/2020 21:50

B. What's the difference as long as it's not off?

A bottle of milk is all different cows anyway.

Thehogfatherstolemycurry · 21/11/2020 21:50

D. Swig the quarter pint straight from the bottle and pretend you never would do such a thing then pour yourself a nice glass of fresh cold milk to drink at your leisure.
