DDs bottle obviously.. as in giving DD a bottle.. I definitely need more sleep!

vodkaredbullgirl · 19/11/2020 04:09

Sat outside at work having a smoke (night shift worker)

Champagneforeveryone · 19/11/2020 06:06

Unbridled joy!
It is 6am and I am eating an omelette for breakfast. I don't have a sweet tooth but don't have the time to faff in the morning so often have to grab a cereal bar.

Last night I assembled my omelette in a small plastic pot, this morning I gave it a shake and bunged it in a pan while I was sorting everything else out. It is an omelette of epic proportions and I feel today will no doubt be amazing as a result Grin

DH has gone for an early walk and brought me a cup of tea before he went, so I’ve had a nice tea in bed by myself. Now trying to decide how long I can risk lounging before the kids get up.

HelenaJustina · 19/11/2020 06:42

I’m running late already, but need to make up time so DC1 doesn’t miss the bus.

EggyPegg · 19/11/2020 06:54

Welcome @CoffeethenCrochet, we're a friendly bunch. Love your name! What do you have on your hook at the moment?

EggyPegg · 19/11/2020 06:55

Excellent pre-prep @Champagneforeveryone. Starting the day off right.

I can hear the milkman exchanging our empties for new bottles.

soddingkitten · 19/11/2020 06:59

I should already be up but my bed is so warm and cosy I want to stay here.

I was able to sort out my new iphone without assistance yesterday. They talked to each other, the old one and new one, and sorted it out between themselves. I only had to press a few buttons here and there.

whatsoccuringnow · 19/11/2020 07:19

I need to get up soon but I am still tired. There is no coffee left so I will have to drink tea instead.
I have a new cardigan to wear to work. The baby is still asleep so I will get ready very quietly.

Spudlet · 19/11/2020 07:39

@HelenaJustina Excellent, lamb casserole success all round! I shall be adding ours to the repertoire of recipes that I cook fairly regularly.

Two days of home education left to go. Woohoo!

EggyPegg · 19/11/2020 08:05

This is how I feel most mornings. We have an Emma mattress and black out blinds and curtains. It's all very lovely and cosy, but I do curse them all on winter mornings when I have to get up, as it's so much harder.

I'm feeling very accomplished this morning. Both DC and I dressed and breakfasted. Cooked jacket potatoes to take to work for my lunch and pasta for DS1s lunch. And have run a wash load through that I'll dry later.

My car has just been taken away for scrap. It served me well for 19 years. Often referred to as ‘Mum’s Wheelie Bin’ or ‘The Spider Wagon’. I was sad to see it being loaded onto the transporter.

Spudlet · 19/11/2020 09:15

Ddog is off his food. This is cause for serious concern, so we are off to the vets at 12. Hopefully it’s nothing... he’s definitely a bit forlorn though and we were at the woods yesterday so I’m worried about him.

Champagneforeveryone · 19/11/2020 09:34

The morning is progressing well (as predicted), though I have picked up a black pen instead of a blue one.

Computer issues earlier but a back office person sorted it.

TrickyD · 19/11/2020 10:56

But the garage just rang to say the other car has passed its MOT! Cheering news.

Start of weekend here (not UK). Watching my 2 children and there 2 friends play in the play ground. Thinking ahead to tonights glass of wine and take away. Trying to decide between pizza or döner kebab.

MissConductUS · 19/11/2020 11:37

Good morning ladies! -5 degrees here this morning, so the coldest morning of the fall so far. I got to try out my new gore-tex running gloves, which were toasty. I forgot my winter socks, so I came home with cold feet.

I have an 8:00 appointment with my dermatologist to do a final check on the skin cancer he found and excised last summer, then off to work.

@Spudlet So sorry to hear Ddog isn't feeling well. Hopefully, it's just a virus that will run its course. Please let us know what the vet says.

@soddingkitten Were the recipes clear enough? Also, I was using US baking measures, which are slightly different than the UK ones. I think your cups are a bit bigger, for example. I don't think it will make much difference for the recipes.

It's just a week until Thanksgiving. Grin

And welcome to all of the new posters on the thread! Smile

soddingkitten · 19/11/2020 13:23

Yes, thank you MissConduct - all good. I have US-style cup measures in my utensil drawer so we’ll be fine. I am looking forwards to mac and cheese the most.

SilkieRabbits · 19/11/2020 13:46

Welcome Coffee

Just had a jacket potato with smoked salmon and a glass of pineapple juice, it was very nice.

Just heard our buyers are having a survey of our house on Monday, already passed a valuation survey and have mortgage. Been sorting lots of admin on that and DH is down there on Monday for the surveyor, electrician and EPC, it will be a busy day. I did think earlier I would start cleaning the house but seriously losing motivation to start. DH moved hoover upstairs and got 3 bin bags for me but that's as far as its got Grin Need to clean/tidy everywhere before electrician on Tuesday, been chaotic with house move. Trying to home ed DS isn't helping, trying being the key word there, failing might be more accurate for half this week but he should be back tomorrow if nobody else goes down with covid today.

DD is superhappy she got a grade 9 GCSE prediction in English based on her test, her weakest subject normally.

Boredsilly · 19/11/2020 14:13

Took the dog out for a walk earlier to get some fresh air, his name is Gus he's a Staffy nearly 10 years old now. Came back had some lunch tuna salad, I'm on Weight Watchers lost nearly a stone which I'm pleased about

Sheusedtobesomeonelse · 19/11/2020 14:53

have finally got all the papers and everything done online to renew DD2 passport, have to get to the post office before they close at 5:30.

Have also ordered part of her christmas present which is a relief. Last M&S box was delivered at lunchtime but havent checked its contents yet, too exciting for now !

Still sunny but cooler today, I had a 4° run this morning. The (cold) northern wind is getting up - I live on the 4th floor and its quite noisy in the loo!

Beaujolais Nouveau and roast camembert tonight to honour the third thursday in November (any excuse).

The cat has gone awol today.

Sheusedtobesomeonelse · 19/11/2020 14:56

@MissConductUS hope the dematologist appointment went ok?

@Spudlet Hows your dog doing?

MissConductUS · 19/11/2020 15:07

sodding, the mac & cheese is really rich and delicious. My son and I make it together and it just gets inhaled at the table. Then the kids go back for seconds. So many calories though.

@Sheusedtobesomeonelse The dermatologist was fine, I was his first appointment of the day, so in and out in 10 minutes. The cancer site is still bright pink but he says it will fade. He zapped it with an Electrocautery device last summer. I'm already scheduled for a full body check next August in case any others appear.

I changed GP's last summer (my old one retired), the new one is brilliant and she made me go for a full eye exam and dermatology exam. I'm glad she did!

I am still ploughing on clearing shite from my room. We are due to move whilst our flat is renovated. Not sure if put in new flat forever or moving back but am boxing up things as I go.

Am being called back to breast screening on Monday. Boobs still sulking at their treatment from 5th November!

One of my Christmas pressies to myself has arrived! Estee Lauder perfumes yay! (sorry make that a tiny quiet yay! I don't want to overstimulate everyone!!)

Deathraystare · 19/11/2020 15:16

boredsilly Congrats! That is great. Love the name of your dog!!!!
