I only have about 3 days left so nothing super long that can't be seen elsewhere. Every time I subscribe I remember why I didn't bother continuing.

I have tried most of the usual, anything interesting?

I binged watch This is Us. Brilliant but on Prime.

Unorthodox
Afterlife .

spiderlight · 16/11/2020 11:04

Unorthodox is incredible. Only about four episodes.

Santa Clarita Diet is one of the funniest things I've ever watched, especially the first series. Dead To Me is also brilliant.

I've recently enjoyed

Arctic
Everest
Emily in Paris
The good place
Unforgotten
Hinterland
Whitechapel
Modern Family, obviously!

I’m quite enjoying Good Girls and I find it quite hard to stick out a whole series. About 3 women who gradually get themselves into a shadier and shadier situation with money laundering and gangsters. It is a good mix of comedy, strong women and jeopardy.

Call my agent - it's in French with subtitles but we loved it and can't wait for the next series
Grace and Frankie
Workin mums
The umbrella academy- bonkers but watchable
Queens gambit

DonLewis · 04/12/2020 16:13

Jane the Virgin, but you'd have to be glued to it to watch it in 3 days.

Narcos.

And amazon prime: the Americans.

Gillypip · 06/12/2020 22:02

Has anyone watched Virgin River (netflix)? What is your opinion on it?

Hiccupiscal · 06/12/2020 23:19

Queens gambit was great

Didn't like "the crown" except for this latest series! Might try the previous again.

Binge watching all the other 'royal' documentaries.

I'm wondering if all these diana/royal themed programmes are to prime the public to be more interested in Harry & Megan's impending netflix programming?

Never been into the royal family, but the documentaries etc are interesting.

Enjoyed the haunting of bly Manor etc.

...I am really struggling to find something to get excited and interested in on netflix & the like too, after having a few weeks of interesting viewing, so watching this thread of suggestions with interest!

Hiccupiscal · 06/12/2020 23:21

Oh and another vote for Grace and frankie.
Really enjoyed watching this with a cup of tea, on my own, in the day.

Guilty pleasure time!

....Emily in Paris is total marmite. I thought it was awful and so sickly sweet!

I know this is far too late for OP as her Netflix subscription is well and truly over but I really enjoyed Motherland. I remember catching an episode on tv and searched for more on Netflix, they only have season 1 on there at the moment but season 2 aired on tv recently (possibly for the second time, I don’t know). A bit silly but I don’t really watch a lot of tv and I loved both series of this.
I couldn’t get into Schitts creek at all, found it really uninteresting and dull, didn’t make it last episode one and it didn’t even hold me attention for all of that.
Much prefer true crime myself.

Virgin river... great scenery

40somethingJBJ · 07/12/2020 03:06

I’ve just binge watched Virgin River and loved it. Just started Sweet Magnolias, as it popped up after Virgin River, and quite enjoying it so far.

I also bloody loved Queens Gambit, The Crown and You.

Inkanta · 07/12/2020 05:20

Virgin River fan here too!
