Is there anything worth watching on Netflix?

I only have about 3 days left so nothing super long that can't be seen elsewhere. Every time I subscribe I remember why I didn't bother continuing.

I have tried most of the usual, anything interesting?

Sounds like you’re after more lighthearted viewing? We loved Santa Clarita diet. And The Good Place.

NoShitHemlock · 16/11/2020 01:11

Criminal UK - there are loads of other countries versions but I have only tried the UK one so far and its great! The premise makes it sound rubbish (people in custody being interviewed), and it takes place in 2 rooms and a hallway, but each episode centres around 1 person (David Tennant is the first) and the acting is absolutely brilliant. Only 3 episodes for S1 and 4 episodes for S2 so its a fairly quick watch too.

I binged watched Dash and Lily today and absolutely loved it.

Second vote for Caliphate.

Queens Gambit. Best thing I've watched in years!

colouringindoors · 16/11/2020 01:33

Give it 2 episodes!

InTropicalTrumpsLand · 16/11/2020 01:34

Can't believe you didn't get into Dark!

If you're willing to watch with subtitles, I recommend La Mante, a miniseries you can probably watch in one day.

Also, if you like Mindhunter, maybe The Alienist? You'll either love it or hate it.

Omg, I watched this film on Netflix’s about 2 weeks ago and it was brilliant .
I was glued from the beginning, that’s all I’m saying .
In fact I had to re watch the Ending .
It’s Called “Fractured”.
I would highly recommend it .
Oh, don’t read the reviews as some of them give it away .
Enjoy

Mulhollandmagoo · 16/11/2020 01:39

@LeahDownTheLane I loved Dash and Lily!!! It's worth a watch, it really cheesy and festive, but definitely cheered me up. It's a lovely easy watch

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 16/11/2020 01:44

Definitely The Crown
but also recommend
Away
Dead To Me
Ozark
Schitts Creek

caringcarer · 16/11/2020 01:55

Queen's Gambit is really good. A pity there were not episodes.

This is Us is brilliant. I cry in at least half of the episodes. Series 5 has just started but you can still get all other series. It jumps about a lot, into past and future but you will be hooked.

Userzzz · 16/11/2020 02:03

Animal kingdom. Feel like I need a shower after I watch an episode but it’s really good.

avamiah · 16/11/2020 02:08

Userzzz,
Animal kingdom, i haven’t seen it on NF , but then again I don’t browse too much .
Without giving anything away, what’s it about roughly ?

MacDuffsMuff · 16/11/2020 04:55

I watched two episodes of The Queen's Gambit last night and found it quite slow to be honest. I'll persevere though!

musicalfrog · 16/11/2020 05:48

After Life if you haven't already.

Mummyoflittledragon · 16/11/2020 05:54

I loved Ratched, am thinking about rewatching.

MadauntofA · 16/11/2020 06:35

Prime not Netflix but discovered modern Love this weekend, absolutely loving it.

Friendsoftheearth · 16/11/2020 06:43

I second fractured. We loved 'the sister' and 'nest' - just finished 'life' on BBC that was also great!

GalaxyCookieCrumble · 16/11/2020 06:45

Sugar rush the new Christmas themed episodes are out. I do not bake but love watching the competition between the teams.

Buddywoo · 16/11/2020 06:45

Very enjoyable Australian film 'Ladies in Black'. Set in the 1950's in a Sydney department store. Feel good film.
