Finished it!! Definitely not as fun as previous years.

I know why I didn't get the roommate one before. I had a space in the middle of the main word. I was searching for so many other possibilities too.

Definitely not as fun as it felt when it started, I prefer the ones with loads more classics rather than modern books as I'm not good at keeping up with new releases.

I only got 4 originally, but now am at 17/20 thanks to everyone’s advice!

@Snoodleberry, Thomas is the name of the main character in a weighty historical trilogy. The two objects in the shop window are the two nouns in the title of the third volume.

Funicular is a film too, and not a very well known book. I only knew it because I randomly read about it the other day, which isn't much help.
The only one I can find on Google is in Japanese - is that it?

As for funiculi - that's a film based on the novel.

It’s not Frankenstein, because Frankenstein’s is the creator — it’s Frankenstein’s [...] and he’s on the phone. The title riffs off the title of a famous JB Priestley play.
