So a lot of people have voted for trump even though "everyone" claims to hate him
Millions vote for the torys although "everyone" claims to hate them

So purely hypothetical, if tomorrow morning a National paper published how you voted in every election, would it cause you embarrassment/ trouble

I know some people jn my family would hate how I have voted in some elections but I could back up my stance.

Obviously this is not about any vote/election in particular.

Anyone who knows me knows that I'm a paid-up member of the SNP and voted Yes for independence. I'm not embarrassed, and thoroughly enjoy debating with my Sturgeon-hating uncle over family dinners.

It probably would cause me embarrassment as I’ve only voted once in my whole life 😬

nosswith · 04/11/2020 12:50

I would have some explaining to do as to why have voted particular ways in particular elections, but have never voted Tory, UKIP or for the BNP, and have always lived in England.

No, I've always voted in line with my stated political beliefs. I've also had young DC with me for most of my votes and they've asked me loud and revealing questions for the whole polling station to hear - no secrecy there! It got worse once they could read Hmm
