You are in a room alone...

You are to be stuck in a room for a few hours. You can choose to spend this time with either a baby or a puppy. What would you choose?

If you can argue your case well enough, then I may consider letting you spend it with another type of creature.

I chose puppy.

Both would be incredibly cute but possibly irritating after a few hours. Please can I change it to a baby orangutan or baby panda on the basis that they are equally as cute, less of an accessible everyday experience (at least in the UK) and don't make as much noise or biting?

Gooseybby · 02/11/2020 06:34

I'd like to spend it with a book, please.

No pooping
No dribbling
No chewing
No attention seeking
No whining or crying
No wondering where their mothers are and if they are ok with this experiment Grin

ImRealHonest · 02/11/2020 06:35

Puppy, every time.

I have never changed a nappy. I have never even bottle fed a baby.

I have, however, cleared up mountains of dog shit. I have no issue doing that, as long as the room is well ventilated and has somewhere to dispose of said shit.

Bailey0703 · 02/11/2020 06:36

Oh a puppy for sure.. they get tired really fast, curl up and go to sleep by themselves...babies require a lot of jiggling around, nappy changes etc far too much like hard work..

Can I have a couple of kittens now please?

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 02/11/2020 06:38

What breed of puppy, what age of both.

It took me several weeks to fully recover from looking after an adolescent cocker spaniel. He liked sitting on your head.

LolalovesLondon · 02/11/2020 06:39

Baby

You are getting greedy now. Are you sure you can manage a puppy and kittens?

Baby for sure, nothing cuter.

I don't think that's in the rules

May have to ponder that one for a while.

Depends on the age. If baby is over 6 weeks then no thanks. But if the puppy is over 6 months no thanks either 😂

DinosApple · 02/11/2020 06:42

Out of those two, baby definitely (so long as there was a bottle). They usually come with nappies, I can easily feed and wind a baby and I have a knack for getting them to sleep. 6 months plus they're even cuter and you can play a bit more.

Otherwise, a kitten! And some string.

Agreed, on the basis that they are also very cute.

A puppy please, as I have raised and therefore understand puppies whereas a baby is a pretty unknown type of being to me and I'd hate for it to cry and me not be able to work.out what it wants to make it happy. Puppies are straight forward- play play play, then some food and water in, wee and poo out, sleep sleep sleep. Repeat.
Can I have a houseplant next please?

cushioncovers · 02/11/2020 06:55

Puppy

Ghouliet · 02/11/2020 07:09

Neither. I’d choose a kitten. Definitely kitten. They’d be a lot of fun for a bit then fall asleep on you purring.

NoSquirrels · 02/11/2020 07:35

Is it my baby? If so baby. (Nappies so shit & wee contained, breastfeed to sleep, gaze adoringly.)

Otherwise puppy, thank you!

Ooh. Changed my mind, maybe, if a baby panda or orangutan is a possibility.

Nah. Will be someone else's baby. We could all probably survive quite happily with our own. Level playing field and all that.

Although I don't want a puppy with bulging eyes. Those type of breeds aren't cute.

Boo Jeremy. And don’t be fobbing me off with the bulgy eyed ones either! Please can I have either a Great Dane puppy or a German Shepherd puppy? (Or the baby panda)

WankPuffins · 02/11/2020 08:33

Puppy.

(I feel so bad saying that though as I have a ten week old that I’m with 24/7 Grin)

LastGoldenDaysOfSummer · 02/11/2020 08:35

Book.

Hoppinggreen · 02/11/2020 08:35

Having had both babies and puppies I would like 4 or 5 kittens please
Or an otter

Hoppinggreen · 02/11/2020 08:36

And a paddling pool

donquixotedelamancha · 02/11/2020 08:36

Can I have a cow please, OP?

Also a large knife, a fire, some salt and pepper.
