I'm really into horror films but the ones that really put me on edge were war of the worlds, mama and wolf creek.

They made me shiver and get the nervous sweats.

Which ones affected you?

All of them Grin.

Can't stand the genre and neither can DS.

Unfortunately for me DH/DSD love horror films Shock.

So we have a family accord - if they want to see a scary movie at the cinema they go together and DS and I will watch another movie at the same cinema or if there's nothing on we like, DS and I have a movie night at home.

If they want to watch a scary movie at home DS will usually retreat to him room to watch something on his IPad and I'll retreat to the snug and read a book - but next home movie choice is mine/DS's Grin.

Years ago but it freaked me at the time, and still gives me the cold tingles when I think about it, was "When a Stranger Calls" (1979). It's about a babysitter who keeps getting weird calls (on the home landline) from a man saying, "have you checked the children?" [shudder] 😦

Jeepers Creepers. After we watched it my ex would randomly sing the song Jeepers Creepers to freak me out Sad

Human Centipede 2. The first was was fucked up but watchable. The 2nd one I had to turn off.

Nightmare on Elm Street. I had nightmares about that one !

I haven't watched anything like Texas Chain Saw Massacre/Hills have eyes for years. But those kind of things don't scare me on the same way any more so I might try them again. I'm much more scared of paranormal horror than kidnap and murder horror Confused
