I'm really into horror films but the ones that really put me on edge were war of the worlds, mama and wolf creek.

They made me shiver and get the nervous sweats.

Which ones affected you?

Us. Scared the life out of me!

OldAndWornOut · 28/10/2020 23:41

Hostel 2 was horrible.
Just imagine being strapped into that chair while some loony gets his rocks off by torturing you to death.Halloween Hmm

Londongirl888 · 28/10/2020 23:44

Friday 13th still worry opening a strange wardrobe door

gamerchick · 28/10/2020 23:46
@gamerchick I've just watched room tonight. I have a headache and am emotionally wrung out.

I dont understand the Blair witch thing though, and I'm a proper wimp!
Yep did the same to me.

I liked Blair witch, if you listen to the story behind it first it made sense. Blair witch 2 was worth a watch, totally batshit Grin

@threecatsandcounting I once had to report DH as missing and was told they don’t wait for 24 hours anymore - just for info, I hope you don’t ever have to report anyone missing! DH arrived home safe and sound.

Hereditary really messed with my head for a fair while. Any of the body horror type films of the 80s totally creep me out too.

rainbowninja · 28/10/2020 23:50

The descent is pretty horrendous as is the grudge.

xanthippe8 · 29/10/2020 00:02

Any Hammer Horror, but I was a child! I really enjoyed the recent BBC Dracula series.

CountessFrog · 29/10/2020 00:10

The Omen!

KiwiKit · 29/10/2020 00:11

I’m so glad I’m not the only one that is completely freaked out by Jeepers Creepers 😂 That shit scarred me for life! The absolute worst horror movie though, the one I could never watch again because it’s just so genuinely awful and terrifying would have to be Sinister, with Ethan Hawke. Really horrible movie.

VestaTilly · 29/10/2020 00:14

Freaks - black & white film from 1932. Seriously disturbing.

Blair witch project. The ending makes me shiver ugh!! Watched it on a night Flight coming home from Florida years ago but turned it off cos I thought it was some documentary shite. Watched it sometime later when I was due to go on a school trip and we were staying in the middle of nowhere. I spent the whole time freaking out

Hannahfftl · 29/10/2020 00:45

Geralds game is the only film that has really stayed with me. Absolutely terrifying!

Mariola212 · 29/10/2020 01:37

Yes, Wolf Creek good. The guy is so scary. And Creep too.

Mariola212 · 29/10/2020 01:41

Inside (l'interior) was the most horrible though. Not the American remake. The French one with Beatrice Dalle and sister of Vanessa Paradis. But US dubbing was shit need to watch French with subtitles.

Is about crazy woman trying to kill mother and steal a baby.

It Follows. Great film, v creepy indeed.

PullMeOutTrainwreck · 29/10/2020 08:09

AcornAutumn The war of the worlds with Dakota fanning. The noise of the machines and the suspense put me on edge.

Oh I’ve seen that

I don’t think of that as horror.

I tend to think of blood and gore when people talk about horror films, those I don’t watch, couldn’t if you paid me!

Themadcatparade · 29/10/2020 08:52

Recently - Hereditary was absolutely horrible and quite scary for someone who doesn’t find horror films scary!

Also Midsommar - very artsy and different to something I’ve watched before but very very very unsettling throughout. Not to watch on a first date Grin

RosieLemonade · 29/10/2020 09:02

“Don’t Look Now”. I didn’t think anything of it at the time but couldn’t sleep at all that night. Then the next day at school (was 15) I kept expecting someone in a red coat to come round the corner. I genuinely felt like I was in a horror film. Everything around me felt muffled. Still feel a bit sick thinking about it.

Pickypolly · 29/10/2020 09:04

What’s that one with the girl that crawls out of the well with the long black hair?
That one, shit me up for months!

FoxtrotOscarPoppet · 29/10/2020 09:10

The Grudge
Jeepers Creepers

Queenoftheashes · 29/10/2020 09:11

The Witches gave me nightmares.
More recently so did House at the End of the Street.

The ring isn’t it?
WankPuffins · 29/10/2020 09:13

The Saw films.

I love horror. I watched the first one and it really got to me. Tried to watch the next and couldn’t.

Queenoftheashes · 29/10/2020 09:13

@VestaTilly OMG that duck woman thing
