There was the maths teacher who was known to be a bit of a creep, who was caught snagging a pupil in the school hall...never heard from him again.
And the headmistress was caught with her hands in the till, quick retirement and shipped out.
I went to a decent school I promise!

Usual teenage pregnancies - my best friend was having her second in the first year of sixth form

We had a couple of sleazy teachers - one followed me and friends home from school one day. The other two girls told their parents and school were alerted. It's all a bit vague now, but I remember being seperated from other students for a while- to protect us from listening to the gossip. It ended up in court and my friends were brought in as witnesses. I can't remember what happened to the teacher in the end though

Male Teacher had an affair with a male pupil ( this was in the late 70s), the Head Boy got the Head Girl pregnant and the Deputy Head knocked the Math's Master out in the middle of the Refectory.

Three paedophile teachers, one was the headmaster who eventually died from a heart attack in a brothel.

The history teacher also had the worst yellow BO marks on his shirts.

Girl in my year was seeing the music teacher. They subsequently married and have been together ever since bit was very scandalous at the time.

It’s so sad to hear of so many teachers who were sexual predators.

I know three teachers who are younger than me. They are wild. They are all primary teachers and you really would not expect it

When I was in school ( all girls school)

Around 15 of us had LSD in class.

A boy had been run over by a train and Chinese whispers got every one whipped up in school and many girls phoned the police to say it was a certain person who had pushed them on the track. CID were waiting for that person when they got home from school who luckily had an caste iron alibi

A girl who’s boyfriend drove a stolen car through the school play ground whilst the girls were shrieking at the windows

A teacher drove her car in to the school building and knocked some of the wall down on her way in to work drink driving

Nobody knew the head of my infant school was married to the deputy head! I only found out as an adult.

The art teacher went out with the French assistant and they got married. He was really good looking, so all the girls were jealous!

One of my friends had a massive crush on a physics teacher in the 6th form. She made it blatantly obvious. In the end, he either kissed her or went on a date with her. He came to his senses and begged her father not to say anything!

My geography teacher had an affair with a 6th former, after we’d left!

I could never understand why my best friend wouldn’t do music A level. She told me in our 20s, it was because the head of music touched her breasts in private.

Ok scandal one was a teacher was having an affair with another teacher. He was parked outside her house in his recognisable yellow mini with personalised number plate. I was baby sitting across the road. This was pre phone days so I had to make do with telling everyone I knew the next day!

Oh and not a scandal but something that became part of school history. We had spent loads of PTA money on two full size trampolines that were set up in the school. My year group went in for our taster sessions. All was going well with people swapping after five minutes. Suddenly there were screams and shouts for everyone to get off.

It turned out that a boy in my year had wet himself on the trampoline as he got off but said nothing. The next people got on and as they bounced the urine sprayed through the air and soaked their socks. The whole hall had to be professionally cleaned and I never saw the trampolines the rest of the time I was there!

Creepy maths teacher finally sacked for child porn offences after years of sexually harassing us all.

Me! I was the scandal at my very naice school as I was upduffed, dds Father was in the year above and we eventually married, dd is now 22.

We had one of those. I didn't notice anything when I was there but have since found out from women older than me that attended the same school that he was a creep way back when they were there! I think he was found with 'inappropriate material' on his computer.

I completely forgot about my maths teacher who served a prison sentence for abusing young boys in his scout group. It's depressingly common isn't it.

Crazy how many people had teacher-pupil relationships!

Mine was the same - music teacher hooked up with 17 year old, got charged, I believe they got together once we was out of prison though.

We also had a couple of teachers marry each other which was exciting...

Economics teacher (who was much admired by most girls) married a pupil. They’re actually still together I believe, 30 years on.

• Someone got expelled (and driven home by the headmaster) for chucking a fridge down the stairs as a prank.
• A girl in year 11 got expelled for being pregnant - this was at a private school. She ended up finishing her GCSE's at a local state school instead.

Actually not that much from mine - a girl in the year above me went out with the gardener / janitor type person (who looked like pob from the 90s Childrens tv show)
The priest was well creepy and I keep expecting him to turn up ins TV as being a peadophile but hasn’t happened yet).
Oh and the french teacher showed Y7 his boxer shorts for some reason I can’t remember. He didn’t last long after that.

My form teacher (who was also an art teacher and played in a semi famous punk band) had a relationship with a girl who (when the affair started) was in the 4th year. Making her 14 and him in his early 30's (I reckon). I used to see her hanging around outside his classroom at 3.30pm, waiting for a lift home in his TVR.

No fuss was ever made about this situation, it was just sniggered about. No complaint was ever made by pupils or by other teachers, and it was no secret, everybody knew about it.

I believe they carried on seeing each other for many years (after she left school) I've also heard that eventually they got married, though they're not together anymore.

Strangely, we (as pupils) didn't see it as creepy or pervy, we just didn't understand how this girl could be attracted to this ancient, crumbly rocker...

This happened many years after my Brother and I had left the school. My Brother was shocked as he said he would never have suspected that this teacher was the type!!

A girl did a certain 'act' with a group of boys, and they filmed it... The entire year got called to a special assembly about how we must never do that kind of thing, then all the boys were told to leave and the girls had an additional lecture about protecting themselves... While the boys got no extra lectures . The girl got sent to a different country for a while, and returned months later.

At least 4 girls in my year got pregnant during my time at school, one had an abortion and that was public knowledge... So teen pregnancy wasn't even considered a scandal tbh

A girl had a large sum of money stolen from her dormitory. No one ever admitted to it... Boys broke into the school (all girls) one night. I found it terribly exciting to find a boy sitting at the end of my bed. The girl in the next dorm didn't share my enthusiasm and screamed the school down which resulted in our headmistress who looked like Alastair Sim in St Ts chasing the boys round the school at 1am in her dressing gown and curlers!! 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

A teacher left to return to their previous line of work, and it turned out had been having an affair with a 15 year old, daughter of a local vicar.

Suspicions were rife about one of the geography teachers though it may have been rumour.

My PE teacher from middle school went to prison for grooming and abusing children in the school.

There were 3 deaths at high school, one from aerosol inhalation and two motorbike accidents. They were very shocking to us all

One of my friends at upper school broke her leg badly and was in plaster for a long time. My chemistry teacher spent a lot of time helping her get around the school, giving her extra tuition as she'd missed a lot of school due to an operation on her leg, spending break times holed up together in his office. We all suspected they were involved with each other but we were young and stupid (13 years old) and so we gossiped about it (she was very coy when we talked to her about it) but for some reason it didn't occur to us that it was wrong. Probably because he was good looking and we were all a little jealous of the attention he gave her. Once we left school she admitted that they'd been sexually involved from 13 until she left school at 16. I looked at some photos of us at 13 years old recently and she wasn't even a mature looking girl- she was tiny and skinny and looked considerably younger than 13. She's adamant she wasn't groomed and abused and won't hear a bad word against him.

I told my sister this story and she said that this man was also involved with a girl in the year above her. This was all happening 20 odd years ago.

Speaking to a (different) friend's dd the other day and she mentioned that her old chemistry teacher has tried it on with one of her friends. I asked the name...yep, same teacher still at the school and still abusing teenage girls. Bloody disgusting little man.

One girl at 16 had a baby and gave him/her up for adoption. We never saw her again so I think they moved away. I often think of her and how little support she had.

One of our headteachers ran off with a teacher. Just up and left his wife, job and life.

I'm sure there was alot of inappropriate behaviour and abuse going on looking back on particularly some of the girls behaviour.

One teacher really disliked me and told my DF that I would never amount to anything. I was 10. I was also very bright. That went well. It was well known that my DF had "started" on him.

In my DSs school before he started there was a big drug and pedophilia problem. Lots got sacked and prosecuted

Not so long ago at my son's primary school, the lovely caretaker got caught growing and selling weed on the premises. Wouldn't have got caught probably but he was selling it at the school gates.
