What was the scandal at your school?

There was the maths teacher who was known to be a bit of a creep, who was caught snagging a pupil in the school hall...never heard from him again.
And the headmistress was caught with her hands in the till, quick retirement and shipped out.
I went to a decent school I promise!

A teacher had a very boozy party at his house and invited pupils and some teachers (it was to celebrate winning an award) a French exchange student got preggo. At the time it seemed really cool but now I think WTF!

Also a girl got pregnant with twins at 14, there were loads of teen pregnancies actually. The mum of the twins is now a granny.

Our school was by a big patch of common land where a lot of horses were grazed. Bringing a horse into the bottom of the main teaching block to trap us all on the stairs was a semi-regular prank whenever things got boring.

Year 8 lass getting pregnant and having to leave.

Most of year 9 getting caught underage drinking during a police raid on the pub next door to school (I got out via toilet window faster than the others).

Art teacher shacking up with a sixth former.

More light-hearted... lad getting a telling off for setting fire to his fart and burning the paint on a classroom radiator.

All in the mid-70s.

There was a PE teacher that had an affair with a pupil, year 9 or 10 came out in the paper a couple years after. His wife was a PE teacher at the school too! In hindsight he was always a little too friendly to the girls. It was rumoured he'd done something at a previous school but no charges were put against him and his wife stood by him (the first time anyway).

The riding instructor (who we all had been pretty sure was a lesbian tbf) caught banging another teacher’s (who happened to be her best friend) husband. Other teacher was frankly a bit of a lunatic (still is from what I hear), but riding instructor was actually really lovely, despite the fact she was boning her friend’s husband. They ended up marrying after his divorce and are still very happily together now 20+ years later, so I suppose all that ends well....

Also, massively outing to anyone who went to my school, but a friend a year old dated Donald Trump’s son for awhile (went to school in the US). Donny, Jr was as vomit inducing at 16 as he is now. 🤢

Where I taught the two deputies both lay preachers and were both lechers drooling over the older girls and singling out certain girls to do jobs for them in their office.

A young newly qualified teacher I know of took a car load of teenagers into the town 10 miles away without the knowledge of the parents gave them money for alcohol and cigs. Next day she was sacked without finishing her NQT year so never qualified, later she turned up doing supply work and neglected to tell the school she'd been sacked and wasn't qualified.

PE teacher having it off with 5 th form girls

A Maths teachers wife came home to find him in bed with the young trainee teacher in his department- they went onto marry.

A Geography teacher with a habit of slamming a wooden ruler down on the desk if he felt the class wasn't paying attention. He misjudged it and slammed it down on a pupil's hand. The lad had three of four broken fingers and had to miss several months of javelin training (I think he missed County Championships - the rumour from the kids nowadays is that he missed the Olympics). Everyone belived it was an accident (and it likely was) and the teacher was allowed back, but got sacked the following year for chucking a duster and it walloping a pupil.

The languages teacher who missed the coach back from a school trip because she was shagging some guy she'd met. We only made the ferry because the bus driver tanked it most of the way. She didn't even set foot back in school. It was announced at assembly that she'd "moved on".

I sort-of caused one of the scandals after being blue lighted from PE cross country with an asthma attack. The PE teacher was meant to have my inhaler in her pocket, but because she didn't believe my asthma was bad (she used the fact I swam in the swimming club as her proof - because that's the same on a cold, wet outdoor run) and by the time they got in and got it I was in trouble. My Grandparents found out that another child had died of asthma (the school say he died in hospital, but his parents say he died in the HT's office) a few years before so my Nana wrote me a letter excusing me from PE for the rest of my time at the school (3 years). The PE teacher had to be re-assigned from my year group because other kids kept making murderer jokes about her and eventually she left.

PE teacher at middle school that liked pull girls onto his lap in the swimming pool

Upper school maths teacher that was accused twice of raping pupils and regularly gave the more "worldly" girls fags (with rumours in exchange for sex acts)
He never got arrested as a teacher he was believed

We had absolutely loads going on at our secondary school - pupil set fire to our school and completely burnt it down meaning we had to be in portacabins in the playground for a whole year. A lad in our class got expelled - that night he stole a car and drove down the school drive at speed and knocked loads of pupils and teachers over. Science teacher sleeping with at least 4 of the sixth form girls. Another science teacher who must have been 60 had a hole in his trousers which his hand was always through - he also used to rub up against all of us girls. Us going out at 14 and meeting our PE teacher in the local club and getting hammered with him. I could go on....

I remember at 14 building up the courage to go out drinking and finding an English teacher at the hotel bar ( the same teacher who slept with pupils of course!)
At the time I was surprised he didn't say anything to us about us being there.

Creepy IT teacher, only with us two terms or so until police arrived to escort him off the premises after the Head of Languages detained him in an office.
Turns out he had been stalking a well known tv 'weather girl' for a number of years, and had her fearing for her life with the letters he had been sending. Ugh.

Boy stole a hamster and smuggled it into assembly
Another boy the a chair or of the window of upstairs science block
People did poppers in assembly and smoked weed on the field
One teacher supposedly had a metal plate in his head
Lots of girls being picked up in cars by much older men. Definitely a lot of grooming going on

At my school the scandal was which year 11 ( my year) pupil burned the school down!!!😳 we all had to be given special consideration for our GCSEs and spent the rest of year 11 learning out of portacabins! He was never caught not enough evidence!

Headteacher and one of the senior masters both paedophiles, another teacher murdered his wife. This was one of the best (private) schools in my city strangely enough!

PE teacher having affair with married geography teacher - he left his wife, they married and had a child and are still together nearly 30 years later.
