What would you like for Christmas?

I know, I know but for various reasons I'm having to buy Christmas presents sooner rather than later. As part of this, I need to work out what I want for Christmas - except I'm a bit stumped. Normally, I'd ask for vouchers for DH and I to spend time doing things together for thanks to the pandemic this is somewhat out.

So, in the hopes of gaining inspiration, what would you like for Christmas?

Anything from Neal’s Yard
Books

@14NeedWineNow -*the new Victoria Hislop book is fab. Definitely ask for it!

I'd like DP to actually say what he would like rather than spending a fortune for him to look disappointed!

Sensible: a new sandwich toaster. There’s a deep fill one for £25 on my amazon wish list.

Frivolity: one of the rose perfumes from Penhaligon.

burglarbettybaby · 04/10/2020 20:59

Bit pricey but I would love the Alex Monroe necklace (bee)
Coco chanel Perfume (black box)
Coco soap
.... ahhhh I can dream

missmouse101 · 04/10/2020 21:00

Katjolo · 04/10/2020 21:11

Jo Malone fragrance and candle, books, socks, good quality PJs and champagne.

Tantrumcity · 04/10/2020 21:16

I really really want one of those special
beauty advent calendars..very pricey and obviously have to get before Christmas, but my birthday’s end of November, so it’ll do as a joint pressie.

Glenthebattleostrich · 04/10/2020 21:20

I've just treated myself to some beautiful ones from temple spa. They smell divine. And I have to treat myself because noone buys me soap of beautiful bath oils. So twice a year I treat myself to something gorgeous.

I would love

Notebooks
A beautiful diary
Cashmere socks
Beautiful bath products that smell divine.
A bloody good gin
Godiva chocolate
Some lovely paints and brushes to upcycle random bits of furniture (my new lockdown hobby!)

We always have Christmas at home with just us and sometimes my MIL / friends then a big family get together on boxing Day. Clearly that won't be happening this year, especially as my whole family are in the north east, so I want lovely pampering goodies so o can spend a day spoiling myself.

SushiGo · 04/10/2020 21:24

I want fancy towels, and the new Robert Galbraith, maybe some boots.

loubieloo4 · 04/10/2020 21:47

To have another year with my dh

(40, stage 4 terminal cancer and already over his 12 months life expectancy)

Happynow001 · 04/10/2020 22:18

A couple of pairs of cashmere socks
A bottle of good single malt whisky
A couple of fine-knit cashmere beanies.

CamillasHardHat · 04/10/2020 22:18

A couple of people mentioned diamonds. If you want the look without the price then look at moissanite, especially the videos where they compare them to diamonds.

I would like a Dyson airwrap for Christmas, nice soap and some new knickers.

Foxyloxy1plus1 · 04/10/2020 22:24

A vaccine and a return to what we all knew as normal in 2021.
To be able to live again, instead of existing.
To see friends and family and hug them..
To see my neighbours for a cup of tea.

I don’t need any presents and don’t expect any, but light at the end of the tunnel and an end to this horrible time would be the best present ever.

Mixitupalot · 04/10/2020 22:29

I’d like new bedding, a real luxury set.
Black opium perfume
New Pyjamas (Tesco have really soft sets with pockets!!)
Steve Madden trainers or boots

AgeLikeWine · 04/10/2020 22:29
