What would you like for Christmas?

I know, I know but for various reasons I'm having to buy Christmas presents sooner rather than later. As part of this, I need to work out what I want for Christmas - except I'm a bit stumped. Normally, I'd ask for vouchers for DH and I to spend time doing things together for thanks to the pandemic this is somewhat out.

So, in the hopes of gaining inspiration, what would you like for Christmas?

Mostly I’d like peace and to see the back of this bloody virus. A very fit man who’s not a dick would be nice too but I think they’re rarer than cures for COVID 🙄

So failing that I’d be happy with:
Book vouchers
Anything from Clarins
Hotel Chocolat Salted Caramel Vodka
Cashmere wristwarmers/socks
A heated throw
A Cornishware teapot
Lisa Angel silver hoop necklace

BlackeyedSusan · 04/10/2020 17:20

More space and time.

The last 2.5 years to not happen

Cosy robe or an Oodie.

BlackeyedSusan · 04/10/2020 17:25

Really bright but dimmable light bulbs. In pairs.
Some nice looking box files for bank statements and paperwork.
For DD to have a smaller swimming bag.

BlackeyedSusan · 04/10/2020 17:25

A decorator to strip the wall paper off the hall, repaper and paint.

Inextremis · 04/10/2020 17:27

An Oodie, and The Elder Scrolls cookbook :) Husband has been informed, I await results.

Squirrelblanket · 04/10/2020 17:28

I've asked for a pair of boots and some M&S loungewear. They are both things I'd buy for myself usually but I thought I'd ask for them and then I'll actually get stuff I want. I don't know why I've never thought of doing this before. 🤪

Snipples · 04/10/2020 17:29

I've asked for silk pajamas and a silk pillowcase. Just fancy something lovely and luxurious as a treat.

billysboy · 04/10/2020 17:30

Diamonds always welcome as is anything from Asprey ! dream on !

Agree with the earlier poster about more luxury versions of stuff I already use

MooseBeTimeForSummer · 04/10/2020 17:33

Nespresso Barista
Prescription grade skincare stuff

MrsHSW · 04/10/2020 17:44

Neom Candle
Silk PJs
Margarett Atwood Testaments Book
Sapphire earings
New bike helmet
Soak and Soap Bath Salts
New coat - one with a hood that is actually waterproof and warm for lockdown winter walks

YorkieTheRabbit · 04/10/2020 18:53

One hundred stars dressing gown
Elemis skin care, I’ll be running low baby Christmas
Cashmere jumper

Ghostlyglow · 04/10/2020 19:02

DP has already said he wants no acknowledgement of his birthday next week which means nothing much will be made of mine next month either, and he's already said he thinks we should tell family etc not to bother with Christmas gifts (so that means us as well). He's a miserable sod.

jessstan1 · 04/10/2020 19:12

Good health.
Some financial stability.

Ellmau · 04/10/2020 19:13

I like books. I give interested enquirers a list to pick from, with Amazon links for those disinclined to look them up themselves ;)

NeedWineNow · 04/10/2020 19:14

I'd like the new Victoria Hislop book, some lovely Marseille soaps, some nice loungewear and some new trainers that look nice with dresses but don't make my feet look huge (I'm a size 7/8). And some nice perfume - Chanel Allure would be good.

And like everyone I'd like to see the back of this virus and the accompanying restrictions, and definitely the back of Johnson, Gove, Hancock and Cummings.

BashfulClam · 04/10/2020 19:23

A harris tweed bag and a 4 stone weight loss.

M0rT · 04/10/2020 19:24

A magic weight loss pill
A body stand in for exercise
A Dry Robe
Silk Pillowcase
Silk nightwear
Some of these are more likely than others I'll admit.

niceupthedance · 04/10/2020 19:28

An astrology forecast /reading
A yoga mat
Gold earrings
Pyjamas
Socks

BubblyBarbara · 04/10/2020 19:30

Mumsnet Premium Grin

Cam2020 · 04/10/2020 19:32

I have no idea this year! Normally I'd want some nice clothes or shoes I can't justify spending on myself most of the time, but I have a wardrobe of new others no worn because of WFH for most of this year and nowhere to go. Ditto perfume and cosmetics!

SillyCow6 · 04/10/2020 19:33

@Ghostlyglow tell him to cop on. He can decide to not receive gifts himself but he cannot decide for you. Order something for yourself, and fully enjoy it in front of him. Miserable sod!

Id like pjs, a silk pillowcase, books, a suspension trainer and our first christmas in our own home!

katy1213 · 04/10/2020 19:41

I love beautiful, expensive soap; a single bar would be fine. I know I'll get gift boxes of pungent smellies, stinky candles and hand cream, which I never, ever use.

TeaOneSugar · 04/10/2020 19:49

Skincare (DM usually buys that)
Slippers (DD)
New electric toothbrush (from me)
PJs (me probably)

From DP, an engagement ring would be nice but can't see that happening.
