What would you like for Christmas?

I know, I know but for various reasons I'm having to buy Christmas presents sooner rather than later. As part of this, I need to work out what I want for Christmas - except I'm a bit stumped. Normally, I'd ask for vouchers for DH and I to spend time doing things together for thanks to the pandemic this is somewhat out.

So, in the hopes of gaining inspiration, what would you like for Christmas?

I love a nice bar of soap. I'm easily pleased with hand cream, soap and candles.

MinnieAnonyMouse · 04/10/2020 19:51

@Ghostlyglow tell him he's absolutely within his rights to not want his birthday celebrating / gifts for Christmas but you intend to celebrate both and look forward to seeing the lovely things he is buying you!

Thanks all - some great ideas (I fully agree with the magic weight loss / exercise pills)

A bath board
Pyjamas
Sweeties
Gin

I'm easily pleased!

Silk pillowcase
Little cloche for matches

L’Interdit perfume.
Some skincare from either Upcircle or Facetheory.
Fraîcheur icey massage globe things for my face.
A sweater.
Snow fairy shower gel from Lush.

Anything bluebell scented from here
www.fikkerts.com/ I bought my mum the hand cream from Gloucester services and it is just lovely. Most bluebell scented stuff smells yak, but this smells of bluebells

There’s nothing much else I want, I did fancy some Seaham seaglass jewellery, but I was lucky enough to get to visit myself in the summer, go glass hunting and make my own Grin

Lazysundayafternoons · 04/10/2020 20:03

Incredibly dull but I have asked for a robovac - it will hopefully make the house tidier and save me so much time.

I'd love a really expensive pair of comfy slippers now that I'm wfh as im wearing my slippers nearly all day every day.

neverenoughchelseaboots · 04/10/2020 20:06

Pyjamas, slippers and socks of a better quality than I'd buy for myself.

A passed-on copy of a novel that somebody really enjoyed.

I once got three handpicked novels from someone's bookshelf as my work secret Santa and colleagues were outraged at the stingyness but I loved it! It seemed so much more thoughtful.

KeeOe · 04/10/2020 20:08

To not have to wake up by myself and not to have no visitors all day is my only goal this year.

Whatdowehaveherethen · 04/10/2020 20:10

Anything that isn't cash or a voucher. I never get anything with 'thought'. I'd love to unwrap something.

ThisIsNotARealAvo · 04/10/2020 20:14

Denim cross back apron from Toast
Gold hoops earrings from Monica Vinader
Seaside Gin (Edinburgh Gin)
Cashmere headband
Running trainers
Zip up dressing gown

vampirethriller · 04/10/2020 20:15

A shed.

ComicePear · 04/10/2020 20:15

I'm thinking of asking DH to get me a Philips Lumea. Not exactly the most romantic present, but I really want one and can't justify the expense otherwise.

Lalanbaba · 04/10/2020 20:17

Cookery books
Food
Fitbit
House plant
Telescope
Most important do NOT get me, clothes, slippers, perfume, jewelry or one of those boxes with body lotion, shower gel, cream, etc

Charlieandlola · 04/10/2020 20:19

Diptyque candles

MondeoFan · 04/10/2020 20:20

SMEG hand blender
Samsung Soundbar
Lush Bathbombs
New Coat

XiCi · 04/10/2020 20:28

SahmedOut your post made me really sad. Tell your DH to get his arse into gear this year. You being the only one without a present is awful!

I'm with all the soap loving people here. If everyone gave me beautiful soap I'd be in heaven Grin
I'd also love:-
A new tote bag
A Neom diffuser
Molton Brown Eucalyptus
Books, including a new cookery book. Love looking through new books on Boxing Day
Hush joggers
Elemis Glow Priming Moisturizer

ClosedAuraOpenMind · 04/10/2020 20:29

a posh totty necklace, which is like a worn sea shell, to remind me of picking shells on my favourite beach with DD. we didn't get to go there because of covid
gin - especially Harris Gin in the limited edition ceramic ceilidh bottle, which is a thing of beauty
lush snow fairy stuff
or for when I'm feeling more sophisticated loccitane almond shower oil and body cream
there's also a celtic and co jumper I like, but it's ££ - there's a nice fat face one which is a third of the price

myhobbyisouting · 04/10/2020 20:35

Ancestry DNA kit

TheoriginalLEM · 04/10/2020 20:40

I want a faberge ring. I lost my engagement ring last year and was devastated. They keep appearing on my facebook. It wont happen - if you have to ask the price, you can't afford iti!

HelloDulling · 04/10/2020 20:43

I would I like:
A gold sovereign pinky ring
Perfume
Sheepskin slippers
Books

Matilda2013 · 04/10/2020 20:45

I have no ideas but always books. Someone said up thread about reading on boxing day but the way this year is going I'm hoping for reading time on Christmas day too Smile

Appuskidu · 04/10/2020 20:45

I would like a fairly chunky (not massive, but not delicate) topaz pendant. I haven’t found one I like yet, though!

Frokni · 04/10/2020 20:47

Okay I am about to give you an honest list:

  • Molecules 01 perfume
  • a Madeline baking tray
  • gym leggings with leopard print
  • dressing gown with serious snugness plus hood

Hope my specific list has inspired you Smile

Softpebbles · 04/10/2020 20:52

A new yoga mat (trying to resist buying and waiting!)

Gym leggings
Black trainers
Perfume
Teddy bear fleece hoody 🙄
