Pure nosiness. For me it’s a bottle of Italian wine that I got for birthday. Food wise two steaks for dinner

Would have been the bottle of Moët but we drank it on Friday. So now it's the steaks for lunch today.

Themarvellousmrsm · 03/10/2020 14:34

A large block of black bomber cheese from our local deli or maybe a big chilli I've just made for friends popping in later - 1kg steak mince from the butcher, 1/2 bottle red wine and Green & Blacks chocolate went into it!

caringcarer · 03/10/2020 14:34

Bottle of Nicholas champagne. New shop delivered this evening.

BackLashStarts · 03/10/2020 14:35

Left over take away - poss not quite what you meant...

BruceAndNosh · 03/10/2020 14:35

Fillet steak and a bottle of chablis.
But it is our wedding anniversary!

DataColour · 03/10/2020 14:36

A jar of organic brown miso paste

vampirethriller · 03/10/2020 14:37

Milk, £1

FenellaVelour · 03/10/2020 14:37

A £10 bottle of beer.

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 03/10/2020 14:37

Bottle of Tiki Ridge sauvignon blanc-but also got the 25% off for 6.

I usually wait til it goes on sale but I was weak...

LaMarschallin · 03/10/2020 14:48

FenellaVelour

A £10 bottle of beer.

Just starting to get into beer as an interesting drink.
What's this one?

northbacchus · 03/10/2020 15:01

Coconut water

Dillo10 · 03/10/2020 15:11

A £300 bottle of champagne (wedding gift) that is chilling for our anniversary tomorrow. And I am pg so will only be enjoying a sip. Not that I would be able to taste the difference Grin

whirlwindwallaby · 03/10/2020 15:13

Left over takeaway curry. Other than that, kimchi.

SisyphusAndTheRockOfUntidiness · 03/10/2020 15:24

A big 1lb block of proper serrano ham. Bit scared to open it now actually as we've had it a while... but apparently it's good for a couple of years as long as it's still sealed & kept cool. Probably open it for Christmas. It moved house with us! Grin I just checked the date & it's actually still ok to eat, shockingly...

Afwan · 03/10/2020 15:25

A bottle of beer. I live in the ME Smile

Hotelhelp · 03/10/2020 15:26

@Dillo10 I have to ask did you receive it then google it to find out how much it was or are you just into champagne? Enjoy!

BuggerOffAndGoodDayToYou · 03/10/2020 15:30

It’s a toss up between some fancy cheese and a fancy game pie - both bought in Waitrose so must have been expensive right? 😉

I have expensive alcohol but it’s not kept in the fridge..... I have a bottle of wine I’m saving for when I can have friends around - it was over £30 which is the most expensive bottle of wine I think Ive ever had in the house... (it was a gift).

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 03/10/2020 15:35

Three partridges (but no pear tree) and a bottle of Campari.

Trauchled · 03/10/2020 15:35

A joint of silverside for tomorrow's roast dinner.

NotExactlyMrsCurrentAffairs · 03/10/2020 15:37

Champagne, that was a leaving gift when Dh left his job nearly 10 years ago.
We don't drink champagne.

wendz86 · 03/10/2020 15:39

Bottle of Whispering angel i was sent last week.

Sgtmajormummy · 03/10/2020 15:39

Nothing much. It’s either a block of cheese or the lone avocado I’m saving in the fridge (unripened). Also some delicious high-fruit raspberry jam.
Meat or beer are usually the most expensive things but currently we have neither. Lots of veg and a full freezer so we won’t starve.

StylishMummy · 03/10/2020 15:41

Smoked salmon ready for brunch tomorrow

FinallyFluid · 03/10/2020 15:43

I was bored and on the way back from dropping DS to work went to the local farm shop.

£17 later, I am the not so proud owner of four different types pate and some potato salad.

The ham hock terrine is absolutely average.

The chicken liver pate needs more salt and Tesco sell a much better chicken liver parfait.

The potato salad has too much mustard and needs more salt.

I haven't tried the farmhouse pate or the duck liver pate yet.

Memo to self, don't go food shopping just to alleviate boredom.

AgeLikeWine · 03/10/2020 15:44

A bottle of Cloudy Bay Sauvignon blanc. A lovely treat Smile.
