Film scenes that touched your heart!

Just that! Any scene in a film that even the thought of can send a wave of emotions over you?

For me, toy story 2, Jessies song, "when she loved you" 😭

I cry everytime. It makes me think of my little girl (age 2) she needs me now and I'll wipe away her tears and make her giggle, but one day I'll not be her whole world like I am now 🌍

@suchasoftersin

The ending of Coco, where hector finally gets to cross the bridge to the land of living surrounded by his family! That film turns me to a blubbering mess everytime. It also did the same to my ex-army stepdad.
The end of that film broke me. I held it together until I saw that Coco's picture was on the Ofrenda. How I sobbed
clevername · 28/09/2020 15:38

When Forest Gump sees Jenny at the anti war protest and shouts her name and runs to her...

The last 15 minutes of La La Land. I'm a mess every time I see it.

Pretty much the whole of Lion but the end especially breaks me.

The scene at the end of Bolt when they’re trapped in a burning film set and Bolt uses his ‘superbark’ to let people know where they are.

The beginning of Up.

The lantern scene in Tangled

The bit in Toy Story 3 when Andy gives his toys to Bonnie and they watch him drive away.

The baby mine scene in Dumbo

I’m sensing a theme here....

@MrsWhites

Does anyone else remember An American Tail, with the little mouse when he loses his family and sings ‘somewhere out there’ whilst floating in a bottle 😭
Beneath the pale moonlight! Someone's thinking of me, and loving me tonight..."
Hiddennameforever · 28/09/2020 15:45

Love Actually- when Juliet visits Mark and sees the wedding video full of her snaps. Plus the music...sooooo pretty...

Proudling · 28/09/2020 15:50

The bit in LOTR: The Return of the King - at the end where Aragorn says, “My friends. You bow to no-one.” ....and everyone else bows to Frodo and co. Proper wells me up.

The scene near the end of The Secret Life of Walter Mitty where he sees himself in the cover of Time magazine. His emotion just gets me.

Tana433 · 28/09/2020 15:52

In MamaMia Here We Go Again during the christenng scene where Donna "comes back" and she sings "My Love, My Life" to Sophie and her new baby. Gets me every time and im a blubbering wreck!

FourTeaFallOut · 28/09/2020 15:53

"Mother?" Sad The Land before Time.

FatArse123 · 28/09/2020 15:57

In "and when did you last see your father", where Colin Firth sees his Dad at his funeral and admits that he loves him (I am misting up just typing that).

MissClementine · 28/09/2020 16:37

Dear John where he reads the letter to his dad in hospital.

The end scene in Still Alice where the daughter reads from ‘Angels in America’ and then the final scene of them walking on the beach when younger.

Batshitbeautycosmeticsltd · 28/09/2020 16:52

The scene in 'Drive Angry' when Nicholas Cage and the Accountant drive back to Hell Grin.

Suckmuckduck · 28/09/2020 18:04

Benjamin Button when she holds him as he dies.

captainprincess · 28/09/2020 18:10

@JustCallMeGriffin Fry's dog, gets my every time. In fact tearing up just thinking about it 😭

Batshitbeautycosmeticsltd · 28/09/2020 18:10

@Suckmuckduck

Benjamin Button when she holds him as he dies.
I nearly cheered! That film is boring AF and given its length an endurance test in tedium, I was willing it to be over.
Cakestandkitchen · 28/09/2020 18:13

@Wearywithteens

The scene in Tangled when they send up lanterns on the birthday of the ‘lost princess’ - the King’s face crumples in grief. I know it’s an animation but I can’t bear it - I’m tearing up just thinking about it!
Me too. I went to Disneyland Paris and the song from the lake when they send the lanterns up formed part of the fireworks music at the end of the day. A few other Disney songs in it but that intro completely set me off and I was crying, on Main Street at DLP.
Cakestandkitchen · 28/09/2020 18:15

The first time I watched Toy Story 3. The burning in my throat when Andy gave his toys to Bonnie. After the incinerator scene.

iwishiwasonhol · 28/09/2020 18:19

stand by me when you learn at the end Chris dies (I never had any friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve), and the outsiders Im already crying when Johnny dies (stay gold ponyboy) and then Dallas is shot

SinisterBumFacedCat · 28/09/2020 18:20

The last scenes in Coco where he played the song to his Great Grandma.

I cry my eyes out.

Honorocarrollkelly · 28/09/2020 18:22

When Beth says "I know I'll be homesick for you, even in heaven." in Little Women.
ET, when ET is going home, kills me every time.
Toy Story 3 ending.

FractionalGains · 28/09/2020 18:22

The scene in Room when she smuggles her child out. I think partly because of the risk she took out of love for him, and also I just couldn’t bear to think how I would feel to send my child out like that and wait behind having no idea if they made it or not

MMM2 · 28/09/2020 18:27

Dumbo..baby of mine
Billy Elliot..the end scene when a fully fledged billy flies onto the stage in swan Lake
The dog outside the garage in a star is born.

shartsi · 28/09/2020 18:28

In the Pursuit of Happyness, when Will Smith and his son cant get a place in the homeless shelter for the night and end up sleeping in some toilets. The helplessness he felt and having to put on a brave face for his son was touching.

dontputitinyourmouth · 28/09/2020 18:28

Pay it forward has me sobbing, I can’t watch it anymore Sad

MrsWhites · 28/09/2020 18:29

@AllPlayedOut you are right, I haven’t watched it for years and was getting my scenes mixed up. But the clip you posted still made me cry 😭😭😭

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 28/09/2020 18:34

Dambusters, at the end. They show the belongings of those who didn't return.
