I put the last message in, and didn't find a new thread. Which I found disquiting, so to calm my nerves here goes.

I, too, need a soddingkitten picture, as we are catless at the moment.

I have a hang over. I would quite like today to be over now.

I am isolating. DS has lost his sense of smell so went for a Covid test today.

The kids have just run upstairs super excited - apparently our house is on the front page of the village newsletter due to a new roof.

I slept very badly last night so am going to bed early, hoping to watch an episode of something before I fall asleep.

Another one wanting a pic of sodding kitten. 😻 Don't have any kitties of my own but I house and cat sit. It's fab. Like being a granny. With free hols.

I ordered "loungewear" from Uniqlo and am now very cosy in what is basically a tasteful-coloured tracksuit. It reminds me of a set I had as a pre-teen, which had stirrup ski pants and matching oversize sweatshirt in jade green No actual stirrups on this but I have teamed it with some giant thermal socks.

Uniqlo ( a slightly unfortunate name in German - same sound as university (uni) toilet (klo)) is the only shop DD can go in and find clothes that fit - I on the other hand ...

It's raining heavily here.

DH has a haircut tomorrow and he might buy McDonald's while out.

He is sweet-natured and tolerant of our excessive attention, but his table manners leave a lot to be desired.

I'm waiting for takeaway and am opening a bottle of red.

I am watching Gardner’s World. The dog is rolling around on his back like a weirdo. His feet are cold. I wouldn’t be too bothered, but one of them is jabbing me in the ribs.

I've started to watch Nurse Ratchet on Netflix. It's a bit meh but will carry on.
It's also raining here.

I have found a bar of nut chocolate.

I am eating Smarties. I love Smarties and haven't had any for years.

DH is home and starting to make pizza. He and DS used to do it as a team but DS is off at uni. DD and I are famished.

I might have a cup of tea before bed.

I took DD out for a driving lesson today, it was nerve wracking. She has had a few proper lessons but felt weird in a different car. We went to the beach and she parked up and we went for a wander. There were what looked like swans diving for fish, but I didn't think swans swam in the sea. We also collected loads of feathers because our kitten is obsessed with them.

Awake here with The Cold. It’s too early for more pills but the ones I took at bedtime have long since worn off. Meh.

@MissConductUS, Caputo's is my go-to spot for Italian sausage of many kinds, though I have a much closer supermarket (local chain) that makes its own very superior sausage too, albeit only in hot or mild.
