I find the thing some people do where they turn their heads away, when out and about, a bit annoying.
I mean, outside where the risk is very low, and not exactly close by, but walking past, and turning away as if in distain...it irritates me. Do they think it will fly over and catch them or something
I do it with my mask ishoos. Generally I struggle with face contact when 2/3s of a face is covered. It's not a reflection on the person walking past. Unless I'm somewhere that is clearly going for a quiet walk outdoors and it's clearly not avoiding touching the mask between shops or getting off a bus, and then I conclude that they are not well informed about the highest/ lowest risks of virus transmission...
I did well yesterday. I went to the little shoe shop to get wellies. Park up at a park, nice walk along the river a mile or so into town and just the one shop. Got the wellies and ended up having a nice chat with the owner for a good quarter of an hour about life in 2020, mainly the business side of things. Fortunately for me, his mask while covering his nose and mouth is quite small and doesn't cover his chin or a fair part of his cheeks, so it was a lot easier to get the non-verbal communication from him, and he is quite expressive anyway.
I like that kind of interraction and I have felt starved of those casual moments this year.
I'm happy to look at bare faces though!
