I bloody love them and eat them all year round...they're not just for Christmas! Grin

Me. Sprouts, shallow fried in garlic oil and coated with a bit of honey and Marmite, are the food of the gods. Sprout and bacon soup, or sprout and blue cheese soup, is delicious as well.

They're ace - like faraway cabbages

OhWifey · 14/09/2020 15:57

Ooh yes my favourite vegetable. Roasted. Yummo

NeedToKnow101 · 14/09/2020 15:59

Yum, pimped up and a bit al dente.

MadamBatty · 14/09/2020 16:00

Love them, all year round. I win the sprout eating competition every Christmas at family dinner

DCIHoops · 14/09/2020 16:00

Love them!

ShellsandSand · 14/09/2020 16:01

Heck yes!! They're delicious. Packed with flavour 😍

thelegohooverer · 14/09/2020 16:02

I only eat them at Christmas because I like things to be special in that way. Love them hot. Love them cold. Love them again in bubble and squeak.

They are indeed ace

rslsys · 14/09/2020 16:50

If you want traditional Christmas sprouts like Grannie used to make, I'm afraid you're too late - they should have been on to boil during the first week of September . . . .

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 14/09/2020 17:20

We eat them when they are in season (definitely not for Christmas - not the tradition here).

DD prefers them with pepper and butter, I like them with chili sauce.

Witchend · 14/09/2020 17:29

Probably the only food dd gets excited about when she sees them in shops.
They're my favourite too.

Frownette · 14/09/2020 17:30

I love them, no defiance from me. Sprout eaters unite!

BillyMurphy · 14/09/2020 17:33

I love them too. Don't understand folk that find them disgusting. I've never thought about growing them though. I shall investigate.

AlCalavicci · 14/09/2020 17:33

I like them too quite happy with them just boiled or steamed , Its hard to get hold of the though Sad

MJMG2015 · 14/09/2020 17:34

Sprouts are THE best!!!

Waitrose do small packets of baby sprouts, I have been known to have an embarrassing number of packets in my trolley!!

I love them roasted in olive oil. I deliberately take some of the leaves off so they're super crunchy!!!

Redshoeblueshoe · 14/09/2020 17:35

Love them

BettyCarver · 14/09/2020 17:36

With chestnuts and a bit of bacon - yassss

I think it's people who grew up with them being boiled for a fortnight!

There's apparently a scientific reason for it. & people who can't stand them won't like certain other specific things either. Cilantro I think?! (Sorry my memory seems to have left the building these days!!£

MingeofDeath · 14/09/2020 17:40

With bacon and garlic, oh yes!

iklboo · 14/09/2020 17:42

I love sprouts. Always have done.

Yes apparently it's genetic not to like coriander (cilantro). To some people it tastes like a bar of soap. I adore it.
