I loves the sprouts. Only 2 of my children like them. My favourite 2. Grin

pinkbalconyrailing · 14/09/2020 17:45

I love them.
try them fried with breadcrumbs and cinnamon.

BogRollBOGOF · 14/09/2020 18:08

DS has adored them since weaning. He'll scoff them down before chips!

Loves sprout pizza too!

adawong · 14/09/2020 18:13

sprout pizza
What?????

silverbubbles · 14/09/2020 18:17

I love them and have got my sprout hating husband to love them too by:
boiling for a few minutes, cutting them in half then roasting them in a bit of oil , balsamic or maple syrup.

They are the best.

ApolloandDaphne · 14/09/2020 18:20

I love them. I don't even do anything special to them, they are great just boiled. My family think I am weird as I would rather eat boiled sprouts than eat an apple.

LoseLooseLucy · 14/09/2020 18:21

I love them ♥️

ColleagueFromMars · 14/09/2020 18:21

I'm one of the ones who was brought up on sprouts boiled for 2 weeks and I'm a lover! Grin

(Also just here for the recipes as I only ever boil or roast them)

AlCalavicci · 14/09/2020 18:25

Now i love sptouts but sprouts on a pizza i am with @adawong WHAT ! !
Come on @BogRollBOGOF explain yourself Confused

SandyGin · 14/09/2020 18:25

Sprouts, sprouts, glorious sprouts. DCs all love them too. Eaten when in season and Christmas lunch would not be Christmas lunch without them.

Sprouts are for life, not just for Christmas.

lakesidefall · 14/09/2020 18:29

Here in the USA they are a very frequent side.

CandidaAlbicans2 · 14/09/2020 18:30

Oh yes, garlic or roasted are lovely Smile I hate Coriander though Envy

Just planted out a load of sprouts plants....grow your own
That’s the plan for next year. Have you grown them before?

They're ace - like faraway cabbages
Yes, like cute little cabbages! Grin

If you want traditional Christmas sprouts like Grannie used to make, I'm afraid you're too late - they should have been on to boil during the first week of September
Revolting I bet the main reason why so many people hate them is because they often get served up mushy [barf]

Cook sprouts and add them to pizza just before doing the pizza.
He's a very unique child Grin

Bearnecessity · 14/09/2020 20:00

I love them but only eat them in season, so first portion comes after the first frost.

I like them steamed best but also like to boil, roast or shred and fry.

I do the little cross in the bottom like my mum did even though the chefs say you don’t need to. Blush. I can’t stop myself.

Tillygetsit · 15/09/2020 01:38

Me! They are just delicious.

Ilovesausages · 15/09/2020 01:48

Love sprouts!!! I just like them steamed with a bit of butter.

Notapheasantplucker · 15/09/2020 02:03

I've always thought they were called 'Brussled' Sprouts.

And I seem to be the only person here who doesn't like themBlush.....

They are little green balls of joy, especially when covered in gravy.
Honorocarrollkelly · 15/09/2020 08:10

Chewbecca, that’s what Delia Smith says, wait for the first frost.
I wish it would hurry up!

"Green fart balls" Grin They don't seem to have that affect on me unfortunately

I seem to be the only person here who doesn't like them
Be gone, heathen! Wink

I get the frozen ones then steam them for a few minutes straight from the freezer, so I can have them all year round. Lovely.

They cause awful smelly wind, but whatever.

I do smile at the work and ingredients and cooking involved in hiding the taste of REAL sprouts. Says it all for me. Nope.
