I know, I know. The best revenge is to move on and better yourself but after sharing joke (ish) revenge options with a friend tonight, I'd love to hear yours!

My mum was engaged when she was 19 and he cheated on her. Before she left she poked prawns into the hem of the curtains, down the radiator slats and into his car heater slats

I think the best one was the woman who took all her husband's best wine bottles and delivered them door to door!

Oh my. The wine bottles! 😂 Keep them coming! My social life is dire right now.

Someone I know changed the name on her Ex's flight tickets for travelling to a (niche) World Championships he had qualified to compete in, so they wouldn't let him on the plane.

I'm not sure it qualifies as "best" but it's certainly the most spiteful one I've heard.

I liked one I heard on the radio once where the gf took revenge but picking up her stuff whilst ex bf was on holiday, she then covered the living room carpet in cress seeds and gave them a little water - he came back from a 2 week holiday to a living room lawn!!

I went to university after splitting up with my ex, I graduated with a higher classification than him and then did my masters and got a distinction to his pass

My friends mum found out her friends dad was cheating, she baked him a special pie. He came home, tucked in like the greedy sod that he was, seemingly enjoying it, she said is your pie good love? He said mmmm yes thanks! She said good because its fucking pedigree chum you bastard!

When my ex cheated I put hair removal cream into his beloved hair wax before I left

I stuffed a potato up an ex's car exhaust and rammed it in with a stick. It's an old trick my dad taught me. He said, "the car won't start and they'll have the whole engine out trying to work out what's wrong with it."

Sugar in the petrol tank also causes utter destruction too, but sadly petrol caps are locking these days.

I wallpapered my cheating ex's bedroom with his porn mags.

Once emptied bottles of Mateus and filled them with diluted juice..

Some classic stories here. The wine bottles is my favourite - not too harmful but revenge he would never forget.

Wasn't there also something about a woman who cut 2" off the bottom of one leg on all her husband's suit trousers? I think she'd caught him shagging his secretary.

I filled my (expensive) shampoo and conditioner bottles with Shower-Immac/Veet when I got pissed off with one of the blokes helping himself to my stuff in what was supposed to be my ‘personal’ shower (shared accommodation block with separated facilities). Didn’t seem to affect his hair, but he complained in the bar about his eyebrows falling out.

DH and I also shagged on the bosses desk one evening when I was on duty

@exLt this is why I went for the wax, I thought the shampoo and conditioner wouldn't be on his head long enough for the full effect. However, after 8 hours I can confirm it definitely did what I'd hoped.

These are great ideas but how do you get revenge on somebody you don't live near to?

Not mine or anyone I know, but the best revenge story I heard was of a woman whose ex was trying to cheat her out of her share of the house. When she moved out she put prawns inside the curtain poles. The house absolutely stank! The ex couldn't sell it and couldn't ever figure out what was wrong. In the end he sold the house to the woman for less than it was worth just to get shot of it. When he moved out, he took the curtain poles with him!
I really hope it's a true story - I think there's something beautifully just about it.

I worked with someone who was intent on making my life miserable. I invested in some glitter the same colour as her chair. Every time she pissed me off I’d sprinkle just a little bit on her chair. She’d never notice until she was stood up and someone would try and brush it off and she’d go spare! She never knew it was coming from her chair and she never knew it was me.

Cheating ex - I cut the middle out of all of his boxers, so they were skirts

I have 2 but more like karma as I let that take revenge while I left with my head up high.

1. I worked in a really toxic environment where I was let's just say bullied. I found a much better paid job in a managing position at a well known company and left. Fast forward 1 year, the ex team have all fallen out with each other and the horrible manager, mind you they were all bum chums with the manager typically brown nose style and leaving me out of important things and ofcourse all the other shit such as gossiping behind my back and spreading rumours. The manager and the instigator went to disciplinary, the team went to HR and took time off for MH recovery and the manager quit and the instigator/bully got fired lol

2. horrible coward ex who dumped me by text and ghosted me lost his business, his house and got cheated on by his fiancé.

I don't normally feel happy about people's misfortune however, I went through hell during those times and cried myself to sleep many nights not eating, losing weight and being ill and I didn't take revenge I let karma sort that out.
