The Prodigy

Last night after all the chores were done I sat down and watched the Prodigy live set at Glastonbury 2009... They just don't make bands or music like this anymore. Pre children I was lucky enough to see them 3 times at V festival and Milton Keynes Bowl. Anyone else a fan? Can't stand the tripe on radio these days.

A huge fan but never got to see them live
You're so lucky
Probably never will either as I can't see keith being replaceable

Blughbablugh · 10/09/2020 11:15

I've been a fan since about 1996 when I was about 13/14. I was totally in love with Liam. I've seen them live about 2 or 3 times. Not hugely keen on their newer stuff but love jilted generation album and fat of the land! I was totally gutted last year when Keith passed away.

Somerset House, 2005 I think it was.... Just amazing

Saw them at download in 06 (I think), loved it.

I ended up being a fan after being brought up on them, my parents were very much ravers! Saw them live in 2015 and honestly the best concert I’ve been to the energy was amazing!

Really hope they will come back, won’t be the same without Keith but do think they will want to come back to keep his memory going

AlaskaThunderfuckHiiiiiiiii · 10/09/2020 11:23

In fact sure I seen on Instagram not long ago that Liam is back doing new stuff

Bunnybumbum · 10/09/2020 11:27

2005 at Brixton Academy. I was 17 and had been to plenty of gigs before but never where the dealers were openly touting their wares. “Coke, pills, coke, pills! Come get off yer nut”. What a time that was Smile

Puppy72 · 10/09/2020 11:33

Haha I know.. I remember at MKB two girls just rolling down the hill in each others arms, chewing their faces off high off the dodgy e tablets they must've scored. I can't believe Keith isn't alive anymore.. He is irreplaceable but I do think the band should carry on and find a stand in or just continue as a two piece.. In memory to him.

I saw them at a festival in 1997 & on two other occasions, I've got all their albums, was a fan since age 14 when 'out of space' came out!
That's proper old school!

Viv0321 · 10/09/2020 11:36

Love them. Saw them live supporting oasis at Kebworth in 96. They were better than Oasis, they were amazing! Never been to a better gig.

HorridHamble · 10/09/2020 11:37

Me. Saw them at T in the Park in 1996, and at the Barrowlands possibly 1996 or 1997. I still listen to them a lot. Usually whilst doing mundane household tasks. Energises me!

Puppy72 · 10/09/2020 11:38

@Viv0321 my ex before my last ex saw them at Knebworth too and said exactly the same as you!

I watched them at Glastonbury is 09. Changed my life.

Puppy72 · 10/09/2020 11:40

God. I wish music was like this now. George Ezra can go in the bin and so can bloody Billie Eillish or however her ridiculous surname is spelt

What i’d give to go back Grin

Haha, I think I'd probably die of old age going to one of their gigs now, notwithstanding the fact my DC would probably be hugely embarrassed 😂😂

Been a fan since the early days and got to be on stage with them once before they got massive. Milton Keynes Bowl was the most amazing experience EVER

Puppy72 · 10/09/2020 11:56

@Ron1984 are you a twisted firestarter?

I thought this was going to be about someone whose friend's child was amazing.

Meruem · 10/09/2020 12:02

I saw them somewhere around 93! (I was in my early 20s) It was a smallish venue as it was still quite early days for them. Keith jumped into the crowd and I had been looking the other way and he knocked me to the floor! It was quite painful! He just jumped up and carried on Grin Fun times.

TeddyIsaHe · 10/09/2020 12:02

Yes! Saw them at Download ‘09. It was one of the best nights ever, just wish I hadn’t drank so much disgusting warm cider so I could remember more of it 😂

Cocothefirst · 10/09/2020 12:04

I saw them at Wembley Arena in 2015. Still awesome.

MissMarplesHandbag · 10/09/2020 12:05

One of my best ever gigs was The Prodigy supporting The Chemical Brothers. Also saw them at Glasto. Loved them.
