I’m rewatching Lord of the Rings and can’t decide on who I like best ? I’m thinking Faramir is more moody....... decisions decisions

Eh why is Boromir not included in this? He wins hands down!

grool · 04/09/2020 18:08

Aragorn. Eomer. Boromir. Faramir. Legolas.

And then all 4 hobbits.

@Iminaglasscaseofemotion. To me Sean Bean is always the dirty chap in Lady Chatterley. I can’t fancy him as Boromir, I do appreciate him though !

Faramir every time - as he is in the book though, they get him wrong in the film!

oliveroses · 04/09/2020 18:13

Aragorn, every time! 💖

captainprincess · 04/09/2020 18:13

Boromir! Also, thanks, now I am going to have to watch LOTR, that's my evening gone Grin

HasaDigaEebowai · 04/09/2020 18:14

Kili - ok I know its the Hobbit but definitely Kili

SimonJT · 04/09/2020 18:16

They’re both a bit dirty, but not in a good way, Legolas was my favourite if you ignored how cocky he could be.

QuentinWinters · 04/09/2020 18:16

Strider 😍

DarkmilkAddict · 04/09/2020 18:18

Strider for me too please

Corrag · 04/09/2020 18:19

Strider, Faramir, Boromir, Eomer. Not Legolas.

britnay · 04/09/2020 18:20

Aragorn

Trixieandkatya · 04/09/2020 18:23

Strider definitely. Though the film didn't do Faramir's character justice at all, really pissed me off actually as I loved him in the book.

Feagle · 04/09/2020 18:24

Aragorn when he's Strider, but definitely not when he finally becomes king, washes and gets a silly some-up-some-down hairdo to go with his crown. I prefer him manky with dirt and straight from an Orc fight, or doing his Sexy Door-Opening thing.

Agree though that BookFaramir is much better than FilmFaramir.

Pinkywoo · 04/09/2020 18:24

Definitely Aragorn (but not with his blow-dry at the end), then Legoland.

Xuli · 04/09/2020 18:26

Strider, not Aragorn. And as Aragorn seems like a bit of an annoying, sanctimonious prick by the end, I'd go for Faramir. Faramir looks as though he could be taught how to have a jolly good time. Aragorn would mope afterwards.

(Strider however would fully embrace the one night stand, and looks almost as exactly how I imagine a younger Roland of Gilead to look. Though can I chose Roland of Gilead instead please?)

IlovecatsyesIdo · 04/09/2020 18:29

@NiceGerbil

I thought this was a baby name thread Grin
^ So did I!

Aragorn gets my vote!

Coldwinterahead1 · 04/09/2020 18:29

I’m watching the extended version of Return of the King and Faramir has just had such a lovely moment with Eowyn he’s catching up!

OP posts:
iklboo · 04/09/2020 18:31

Boromir is lovely but I just see him and think of Lady Chattery’s Love and “Get In”’tut”

I'd be there before he finished the 'g' of get.

AliceLutherNeeMorgan · 04/09/2020 18:33

Haldir of Lorien

Love the blonde!

Fluffycloudland77 · 04/09/2020 18:34

Def Aragorn then Legolas.

SheisMammyof2 · 04/09/2020 18:35

Now Faramir, but when it first came out I was in love with Legolas.. my taste has matured over the years.

Yiayoula · 04/09/2020 18:36

Strider, 100%.

Just found online “ Five Actors Who Could Have Played Aragorn “ - apparently Nicolas Cage was in the running at one stage Confused. OMG !
Fresh from destroying forever my vision of Captain Corelli .....

Coldwinterahead1 · 04/09/2020 18:37

Nicolas Cage?????😮
