Period pains feel like labour

Motherofmonsters · 28/08/2020 18:27

I think my first period since having DD 11months is on the way and it is so painful.

It literally feels like I'm in labour.

Is there anything I can do to bring it on hoping that might ease it a bit.

Not to alarm you but it definitely isn’t labour, is it?

ScottishStottie · 28/08/2020 19:13

Was thinking the same as pp... Any chance it could actually be labour...?

ComeOnEileen11 · 28/08/2020 19:14

A bath to ease the pain?

Also ditto pp above - definitely not labour?

Erm..... first period for 11 months...

It’s not another baby is it?

dannydyerismydad · 28/08/2020 19:15

Urgh. You have my sympathy. My first period after having a child was like being excavated with a red hot rusty spoon.

Motherofmonsters · 28/08/2020 19:20

Funnily enough I thought I was pregnant a couple months ago and had a very faint positive in a cheap test but never had another one.

Im 99% sure it's just my period coming

😳😳😳 I would alternate paracetamol and ibuprofen, get a hot water bottle and pray it is just a period! And of course see your GP if it carries on, are you breastfeeding?

Motherofmonsters · 28/08/2020 19:23

No belly and I've been drinking tea. I went off tea completely in my other pregnancies

cultkid · 28/08/2020 19:45

Dialute it in water

Motherofmonsters · 28/08/2020 19:46

I can't actually be in labour, they'll be signs I was pregnant. I'm also breastfeeding to

OP posts:
whiplashy · 28/08/2020 19:48

Hot water bottle works best for me

Pinkflipflop85 · 28/08/2020 19:48

Breastfeeding isnt an effective contraceptive

Motherofmonsters · 28/08/2020 19:50

I don't have a hot water bottle but I think I've got one of those microwavable dogs somewhere so will try that.

My boiler is broken so I have no hot water so that's a bath out

Dialute it in water
