What do you think? Of all the ones I’ve seen I like this one. Not the layout, mine would be very different.

It’s not my style but I like it. Looks fresh and clean.

Mumblechum0 · 25/08/2020 11:24

cold

IncludeWomenInTheSequel · 25/08/2020 11:26

My cabinets are that colour, and I have flooring with rose gold through it, so it's all good by me!

Sorry, really don’t like it.

Crylittlesister · 25/08/2020 11:27

I love it but the colour is very marmite and if you are a bit on the fence, you are more likely to start to loathe it than come to love it.

MrsBungle · 25/08/2020 11:28

I like the style. I hate the pink colour!

Notsurewhatsgoingon · 25/08/2020 11:29

I dislike the light blue but I can't really say why. Some kitchens with a similar 'clean line' design are 'wow' but this dosnt have that feel at all. I think it's the colours together that don't work for me but then I'm into dark colours and I'm no designer so maybe I'm wrong. If you like it them thats all that matters, it's your home.

EasilyDelighted · 25/08/2020 11:30

I really, really don't like it, sorry. I don't like pale pink.

Notsurewhatsgoingon · 25/08/2020 11:33

Just to add i viewed a house recently with a darker blue kitchen, not navy but a bit darker than your pic and it was absolutely gorgeous. The estate agent had chosen the sane for his kitchen as he liked it so much (showed me a picture) . Definitely a selling point.
Is there a slightly darker option?

I think it would date quite quickly.

Apolloanddaphne · 25/08/2020 11:43

I don't like it at all and think it will age badly.

JudgeRindersMinder · 25/08/2020 11:43

Love it...but then I’ve had a bubblegum pink splash back for 12 years and am not fed up of it 😁

Florence1960 · 25/08/2020 11:49

I originally decided on navy island with grey floor and wall cupboards, but I’ve been living with that in my head for so long that I’m bored of it. It’s a lovely light room and I worry that navy might leach the light and feel that it’s a bit dated now anyway. Not sure if I’m right!
I agree that kitchens date, I think that’s probably the case with any kitchen though. And there’s always the worry that you might get fed up of it.

Sorry not keen on the blue, it’s just seems quite cold to me.

PickleSarnie · 25/08/2020 11:51

It's very girlie and I don't think it will age particularly well.

I really want a navy island when we get a new kitchen but figure that will also date quicker than I will be replacing the kitchen again. And I think navy is more traditional than bubblegum pink.

If you love it and don't plan on moving in next 10 years then go for it. I would definitely be put off buying a house with that kitchen though.

Florence1960 · 25/08/2020 11:52

I wouldn’t actually be getting it from Wren, I have been in there twice. First time I was there for hours while the bloke just slotted as many units as he could into the space. Second time I went in and asked for help, clutching a design and the bloke admired my finger and toe nails, said I wasn’t ready and dumped me.
They do have bowls of biscuits though so I might just pop in again with a mahoosive handbag.

PickleSarnie · 25/08/2020 11:52

Can you put the colour in with paint and tiles etc instead? Easier to change than units.

TheMandalorian · 25/08/2020 11:54

I'm not a fan of pastels or pink. But. The style is okay. I think i would change the pale blue to navy with that pink. Or have a different colour with the light blue. They don't really go together.
If you love it and you aren't planning to sell up in the next 10years then go for it.
However, I am currently viewing houses and the thing that would put me off is a newish kitchen or bathroom in a garish or niche colour. Red in particular puts me off. Because dh would never want to replace a nearly new kitchen so I would have to live with it for several years.

TheMandalorian · 25/08/2020 11:58

sorry cross post.
Navy and grey will look very cold. But navy in a well lit room is quite nice.
The rose blush could look very nice and fresh with navy. Or another warm colour.
All kitchen showrooms spend ages planning a kitchen for you, even if you've already had a designer do it. Then they reveal the price after 2hrs and you feel like they wasted your time.
All kitchens date eventually. Think the black sparkle worktops of 10years ago.

MsEllany · 25/08/2020 12:03

Navy and pink would be horrible! Navy and white or off white, maybe even a warm grey would be nice. You’d need a nice warm floor though, like a herringbone wood (or tiles that look like wood).

Thats what I’d like for my kitchen.

EasilyDelighted · 25/08/2020 12:06

I'm not keen on navy kitchens either, I think they are going to look dated quite quickly. I prefer white, off-white or wood, nothing stand-out, create the colour with painted walls and accessories.

Florence1960 · 25/08/2020 12:08

You all have much more idea than me. I’ve been working on this for years. I do get the point about resale but equally I’m the one using it for now and I don’t want to compromise, I want what I want. I wish I knew if I would still want it in a few years though!! I hated my old kitchen, which was done years ago, way before there was anything like the choice we have now. I don’t want to be in the same situation this time. And they are expensive mistakes to make!

Arthersleep · 25/08/2020 12:10

I love it. But it will date

GenderApostate19 · 25/08/2020 12:10

I don’t like it and think it will look awful in 10 years or so, despite having a wren kitchen in pacrylic blue.
