What colour is your car?

Mine is white. I remember when white was to be avoided but now seems to be very acceptable. Anyway I'm ok with a white car for now. My neighbour (sort of - next road) has got a brand new 20 plate big Volvo in brown! Brown. Why?! Why are there brown cars?

My cars are silver with dark tan brown or dark grey interior colours and contrasting wooden trim. Convertible sports also silver but soft top red with red interior. I will consider and possibly opt for other colours if particularly noteworthy and iconic to the brand. Cars can always be wrapped in desired change of colour to offer an alternative look and feel. I particularly dislike the so call "murdered out" sinister blacked out look as tend to discredit aesthetics of unique car design. Silver or dark grey metallic tends to suit most cars and accentuates the lines well.

@KobeWan I wonder if the traffic warden was colour blind and it genuinely looked brown to him.

My current car is silver. Previous blue.

Black. It's 9 years old, mind.

I have a white car too! I don't ever feel like it gets that dirty.

My favourite ever car was bright yellow, I miss it

I have a black car but would much prefer an actual colour. When my DH was looking for my car (I have no interest) I didn't want black as black cars always feel hotter on a sunny day than any other, white just gets dirty so quickly as we live in a rural area and I didn't want silver or grey, just dull in my opinion and I end up with a boiling hot on a sunny day black car!

Dark grey. Doesn't show scratches Blushor muck... had since last October and it hasn't needed washing Wink

My folks have just got grey with cream interior - it's an import but it's the way forward. Cool
In summer ShockGrinand magically shows less marks than black interior.

Me purple
Dh dark blue
After years of having company cars in shades of grey or black I chose colour for both of our cars (dh chose the make/model of his car but colour is more important to me).
I love my purple car.

We have a few vehicles and always buy second hand, so that mostly decides the colour for us.

Metallic brown estate. It looks like a warm dark silver colour most of the time rather than brown. We don't love the colour but it is inoffensive and was a good price at the spec we wanted, which is more important to us.

Red rocket hatchback. Bought for the same reason as above. I was apprehensive buying a red car as I've had 2 red vehicles previously and the colour fades terribly. In this case DH should put a load of miles on it and kill it before the paint gets a chance to fade, so we chanced it.

White van. I hate the colour, but you pay a premium for any other colour and 99% of everything on the second hand market is white. Mine is actually green/grey/brown most of the time which proves my point of why it is such a terrible colour choice. plus white looks cheap, even on top end cars

Camo truck. Sounds awful, but is actually awesome and anything other than army green would look terrible. It's totally in keeping with the vehicle. I had it resprayed from NATO green a couple of years ago.

I am not looking forward to buying our next car as although we're not that fussy about colour, there are so many white (and pastel) cars around they will be hard to avoid. I hate white.
