What colour is your car?

Mine is white. I remember when white was to be avoided but now seems to be very acceptable. Anyway I'm ok with a white car for now. My neighbour (sort of - next road) has got a brand new 20 plate big Volvo in brown! Brown. Why?! Why are there brown cars?

YerAWizardHarry · 22/08/2020 19:39

Grey**

TheGrayChapter · 22/08/2020 19:39

We have a grey one, a black one and a silver one!

Never had white car.

My older cars came in a variety of colours I've had a dark blue one, a red one, a purple one.

I saw the most hideous green Audi Q7 they other day - why pay all that money for such a vile colour

dementedma · 22/08/2020 19:41

There aren't that many green cars around either, (apart from landdrovers). But there was a superstition I remember as a kid to never get in a green car.

Mine is a Mitsubishi asx in light blue.
My cars previous to this had been a burnt orange Suzuki swift, silver and red Mitsubishi colt sport and a black and green Peugeot 206.
(This has been over the last 16 years)

My husband drives a white Suzuki swift sport and has had a black and white Mini Cooper s Countryman, silver Honda Civic and a green ford puma.
(Again all over the last 16 years)

Looks like I’m a bit more adventurous when it comes to colour

AuditAngel · 22/08/2020 19:49

Mine is pearlescent white, I didn’t want white, but it’s a company car and I was restricted as to what I could spend and i took the ex-demo.....

DH’s is red

Cornishmendoitdrekkly · 22/08/2020 19:50

Scarlet red. Easy to spot in a carpark Smile

IHaveBrilloHair · 22/08/2020 19:53

Dark blue with a silver roof and silver/orange stripes on the bonnet.
I love it, but my next one will probably be red.

DaffodilsAndDandelions · 22/08/2020 19:53

I disagree with the brown. I used to have a brown estate car. Very very very dark brown. Dark oak it was called. Lovely, never looked too dirty either. And brown leather interior.
My current car is beige. Not thru choice, it was the only one of that type and price for sale 2nd hand.

Indeed - green cars are unlucky ( I am superstitious)

My car is white - not my first choice of colour but it just happened .

I saw a Chimera Car t'other day , it was a metallicy bronze toning to metallicy sage , and I was at it's beauty . .

FraughtwithGin · 22/08/2020 19:57

Navy blue, it's my favourite colour.

BikeRunSki · 22/08/2020 19:59

Dark grey. It’s the only colour that wasn’t going to cost extra, but I really like it.

ClinkyMonkey · 22/08/2020 20:02

Mine is called 'race red'. It's not exactly Lightning McQueen - just a Ford C-Max driven in a very un-race like manner. I've had 3 red cars now, but not one after the other.

Lindy2 · 22/08/2020 20:03

Mine is a blue/green colour. In sunlight it is blue. When it's cloudy it looks more green.

It's not the colour I would have chosen if I had bought brand new but I quite like it. I prefer it when it's more blue than green.

Babdoc · 22/08/2020 20:03

Red. I always found it showed up well to other drivers, even in snow, twilight, poor visibility.
And as I was on call from home for hospital emergencies, I was often driving at 100mph at nights and weekends.
I’m retired now, but I still think visibility is important. Trying to see a silver or grey car through surface spray, mist and/or heavy rain is much harder, and potentially lethal. I’d never buy a grey one.

Ivalueloyaltyaboveallelse · 22/08/2020 20:08

One car is sliver the other car is black.

LemonSquash94 · 22/08/2020 20:09

Electric Blue 😍 i love it, makes me smile every time I drive it

howlathebees · 22/08/2020 20:10

Dark blue

CarrieFour · 22/08/2020 20:19

Both of ours are black. Happy with them.

thenightsky · 22/08/2020 20:26

Bright blue (ancient Subaru Impreza)
Bright red (middle aged Audi TTS)
Silver grey (ancient Smart roadster)

BlackberrySky · 22/08/2020 20:30

My car is blue, but I did once see on the motorway a rose gold Range Rover!

MissCalamity · 22/08/2020 20:43

Currently black, getting a new one on Wednesday in Flame Red, can't wait Grin

QueenCT · 22/08/2020 20:47
