What colour is your car?

Mine is white. I remember when white was to be avoided but now seems to be very acceptable. Anyway I'm ok with a white car for now. My neighbour (sort of - next road) has got a brand new 20 plate big Volvo in brown! Brown. Why?! Why are there brown cars?

Planet Blue!
It's a kind of metallic blue grey colour. I have Kia Ceed. I think it's nice...quite inoffensive really!

At the moment though.. its more of a grey dirt colour...on account of the dirt....

Colour of choice might be something more exciting, but I think different cars suit different colours though....

I did love the purple red that the ford titanium came in.

There is someone who lives in my area who has an Audi which is bright orange. We call it the wotsit car

BertieBotts · 22/08/2020 21:22

I like that teal-y blue on the Kia.

We have metallic blue. We didn't get a choice, but I absolutely love it! Looks so pretty and bright.

Last car was metallic black Hmm We had a choice of black, white or black. The metallic black had slight flecks of purple glitter in it which I liked, and it looked smart enough but I am glad we have a colour now :)

mamaduckbone · 22/08/2020 21:23

Bright red. It's ghastly!

Shmithecat2 · 22/08/2020 21:25

1 is black, the other is blue. I don't really like white cars, I always think they look 'commercial'. The only colour I would refuse to have full stop is silver. Hate them. I'm looking for a new cat now as it happens. I'd like another black, blue or grey one.

Shmithecat2 · 22/08/2020 21:26

Car, not cat. I don't need another one of those, I already have 6 Blush

Bunnybigears · 22/08/2020 21:30

I need a tabby coloured car!

Ha! Me too when I first read it ... "Oh black and black" Grin

girlcrushonvillanelle · 22/08/2020 21:33

Mine is navy blue with a black roof.

I want bright turquoise or flat grey next.

Rayna37 · 22/08/2020 21:34

Brown is the next big thing in cars I think. 15+ years ago white was unfashionable and silver was much more common than grey. Fashions come and go.

Mysa74 · 22/08/2020 21:35

@HansBanans
I was reading another thread earlier and one of the posters had a red paint mark on her white car and removed it with toothpaste and a damp cloth... A quick Google seems to agree. Might be worth a try?

PigletJohn · 22/08/2020 21:36

Pantone Reflex Blue.

pasteldechocolateconchispa · 22/08/2020 21:36

It looks black hit actually it’s nightshade so it’s purple looking in some lights, we saw a rose gold Mercedes yesterday was shiny. Sun was shining off it was quite blinding

CatRamsey · 22/08/2020 21:40

Mine is a deep blue that sometimes looks like it has a purple-ness to it. It's called champion blue. I love it!

My old one was turquoise and I loved that because it was different.

My first car was blue.

As you can see I am drawn to blue cars Grin. Although my first one I wanted in yellow, but my parents got it for me and my brother to share and he wouldn't be caught in a yellow car Grin.

Mysa74 · 22/08/2020 21:42

@QueenCT @Babdoc
Someone went into the back of my new (to me) car on the way home from Peugeot 10 minutes after collecting it. I was stationary at traffic lights behind 3 other cars and even had my handbreak onso wasn't a sudden stop He "didn't see me" either and my car was a freshly polished bright, bright yellow!

OhhhPeee · 22/08/2020 21:44

It’s black and it’s one of the top ten car models in the country, so often difficult to find.

When DH used to drop me off at work about ten years ago, we always used to see this middle-aged woman in a brown C-Max, wearing a hi-vis vest. One day we were house-hunting and pulled up for a viewing on a street where one of the driveways had cones all across it. On the drive was...shitmobile! We couldn’t believe the coincidence, it was definitely her car, we checked the reg the next time we saw her on the road.

LadyCatStark · 22/08/2020 21:44

Red, we only got it brand new in March and I do think red will be the next ‘in’ colour (that’s not why we picked it, we just liked it).

Gunmetal grey, we didn’t get a choice there though as it’s a company car.

MondeoFan · 22/08/2020 21:52

Silver, hardly ever have to wash it, it almost always looks clean.

I like different colour cars according to the model/make.

I like the Mini in a brown but not an Audi for instance.

GinWithASplashOfTonic · 22/08/2020 21:55

Red

HansBanans · 22/08/2020 21:55

@Mysa74 I hadn't heard of that, thank you! I'll give that a bash in the morning 🤞🏻

vanillandhoney · 22/08/2020 21:56

Mine is dark grey. Previous ones have been white, light blue and red.

DH's is light blue. Previous ones have been white and red.

Ikeameatballs · 22/08/2020 21:59

Very dark blue with black trim. I really like it.

I’ve noticed brown and a few horrible beige cars lately. I agree that it will date badly and they’ll end up with a lower second hand value than other colours.

thisaintmyusername · 22/08/2020 22:00

Mine's called Daytona grey. Had the same car in white last time and it was an absolute nightmare to keep clean. Although I'm now thinking I should've gone for the navy ish Navarra blue Confused
